As far as anyone knows, the Keystone is a replacement for the Pinnacle, the situation with the Anthem and Pioneer was different, Mack just wanted to match the Volvo VNL and VNR setup.TheAmir259 wrote: ↑03 Mar 2026 09:04 Anyway, does this mean the Keystone is replacing the Pinnacle? or is Pinnacle gonna be downgraded much like what happened to Anthem & Pioneer?

Hope the Keystone made it to the game someday it looks really good.
Is interesting how Volvo choose to launch first on the Volvo brand the new VNL and VNR(OTR models) and after that they launched the Mack counter parts Piooner and Anthem, but for the vocationals they launched first the Mack vocationals, the Keystone and New Granite(Vocationals models) and the Volvo counterparts are still unanounced.
It looks that they are doing exactly the same as Daimler having one brand more specialiced in OTR and fleets and the other more on Vocational and more premium OTR for owner operators, they taking full advantage of the Mack pedigree, i think is a good move still making Mack be first on some of the launches expecially on the vocational side.

It is very likely that Volvo is going the Freightliner way with Western Star and not have a dedicated vocational truck and just leave that to Mack, makes sense.

Re: Mack Trucks Discussion Thread
I noticed the Keystone doesn't come with the 76" sleeper. I wonder if that will be offered in the future to keep it in line with the Intl HX/WS 49x. No Eaton manual transmissions are listed on the Mack site either, that's a yikes (for enthusiasts at least).

Re: Mack Trucks Discussion Thread
Selling-wise I guess yes. It's a shame as they did the VNX, but I guess it wasn't popular, and they still had to leave it to Mack, just like what Daimler did as well (as you've mentioned).
