Mods to Vanilla

I've played with mods since I began playing this game. Just recently switched to a new pure vanilla profile and it is amazing. With mods I would get some random crashes and FPS drops. Playing vanilla is a smooth experience.

Like you, when I run into issues with compatibility after updates...and I guess if I were doing convoy may be more likely to go vanilla when mods clash.

I wouldn't mind (in principle) going back to "vanilla", but there's a lot I'd miss... like fixes on roads/maps, additional cabs/options, or whole trucks and trailers, or simply gadgets/tuning... already culled about 50 mods from my list, but it's getting harder to retire more, to get significantly below 50...

In the latest patch they added realism by reducing the FOV of the mirrors. Although I've really tried I don't get along with this, especially during parking and driving tight curves. There is a mod which gives back the old FOV. But I am playing vanilla. In ETS2 I have an animated cat as the only mod and only in one profile. But since using the FOV mod in every profile I have played ATS only from time to time and without the fun I had in the past. I had hoped for SCS adding a checkbox for the old values as an option but they didn't (I am probably the only one requesting this), which I fully understand (I am used to this as king of minority opinions... )...

At the moment the tendency is uninstalling ATS at all, which is a bit sad for I have a lot of playing time (really a lot!) in ATS, but I obviously don't like using mods.

Positive is that I play ETS2 way more and with a lot of fun. Surprisingly for me, how a little change can change the attitude towards a game...
