Hi Vinny, you don't have the needed kilometers to make it into the Top 99 ranking here on the forum. But on the website in my signature (ets2.online) you're in position 210.

To get into the ranking here you need at least 4,856,184 km. (to overtake the player lePorC77 [FR])
And for the other 3 rankings (Mass, Jobs and Average) you haven't yet reached the numbers to get into the top 10 either. Keep on trucking!

Is the new meta to have 2 players driver per profile, one per each game? I am doomed cause I have no friends.

Let me save up for a Steam Deck and I can prove it is doable.

Wow! Almost 600.000 kilometers away from Top 20... Good retirement, friend!

I'd like if SCS pay special attention to WoTr one day, to do an annual/seasonal ranking on its own website when WoTr leaves the Alpha version, but that's just a distant dream.

In today's parameters, reaching the Top 10 is, let's say, humanly impossible. It's true that I have 6 million kilometers, but to reach almost 11.5 million is a very ambitious project... It would be a 3 or 4 year project, taking into account the fact that my opponents from the Top 50 onwards have drastically reduced their goals. That's why it would be very interesting if SCS did something related to rankings when WoTr leaves the Alpha version.

I am calling it quits on competitive truckin. I can't handle the heat. I have lost friends over it and sometimes my patience. I will be playing single player freight market and enjoying the world offline. If anyone wants to pass my job or weight record you will have no competition from me except when I do events. Good luck.

You've made some impressive marks @etny2k, with multiple rankings in season 2023 and season 2024! Several of those were #1 spots.
Thank you for your friendliness and contributions.
Definitely prioritize personal health and real life (RL) relationships. Hopefully with some re-prioritization, past scars can be healed.

We each have unique circumstances, and everyone has different goals and preferences in their virtual-trucking.
Some literally make a living from virtual-trucking, such as game streamers. As has been noted earlier in this thread, there are likely some that are abusing (or gaming) the stats.
There are possibly some "teams" of people collaborating with single accounts. With evolving software technologies, it would not be too surprising if "ai" was used for some accounts. Note: I have zero evidence of "teams" or "ai" accounts, this is just my speculation.

I'd like to make it clear that it is not my intent to encourage harm or negative behaviors with these stats. I enjoy data, virtual-trucking, and statistics.

It's been a while since I've checked out the forum.

Everyone has their own goals for World of Trucks, unfortunately the ETS2 situation remains the same until SCS does something significant.

Every day that passes I get closer to leaving the top 100 and that's okay. It's what @etny2k said, always try to do different things and especially things in real life. I myself continue to do my loads without thinking about this ranking, that was one of the reasons I haven't talked much here. It's nice to have a good rhythm for a year or two, but I personally don't think that's healthy for several years, but everyone thinks differently.

I just have to thank @donfede for his constant updates here on the forum with his data. One thing I heard/saw I don't remember exactly, it would be nice to have separate statistics for ETS2/ATS. This topic would remain the same with the sum of all of them. Of course, if that's not too much of a bother and if the group agrees.

Have a good trip everyone. 🛣️ 🚛 👍🏽

...
Greetings @mastine, nice to hear (read) from you --

I'm beginning to agree that there could be value in having separate statistics for ETS2/ATS. This becomes more obvious seeing the graphs in the deeper look at WoT stats thread. ATS has significantly higher regular velocities, with 65mph (104.6kmh) on most interstates versus the 49.7mph (80kmh) [or 52.8mph (85kmh)] if pushing the speed limit leeway] on 50% or more of the ETS2expressways. Some areas, such as the Balkans, have many roads that limit speeds to 37.2mph (60kmh) or lower. On the flip side there are many ferry "shortcuts" available in ETS2...

The next question is how separate stats might be organized?
I am pretty certain it would not be appropriate to change stats rules in the current 'semi-manual' WoT Ranking - season 2025 thread, but changes could fit with future seasons.

How might stats be altered in this Total Distance thread, while not making it "too long"? Some thoughts include:
  • List top 10 Max Distance for ETS2 and ATS, while keeping top 100 total Max Distance (which feels insufficient)?
  • Should the 100 total Max Distance be reduced (which doesn't feel right either)?
  • Should new separate ETS2/ATS threads be created?
As always, constructive feedback and brainstorming is welcome.

Happy trucking :)
