FMOD Discussion [ETS2]

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

I have a problem.

My sound mod has multiple engine sound and it works fine. But if I change engine that have different sound, it will not gonna work. And I need to restart the game to make it works.

How to fix that?

If there are no errors in the log, I would look at how many stream type assets you are using; the game keeps stream assets loaded in memory no matter what and perhaps you are running into buffer overruns having too many loaded?

I am speculating....they can cause issues which is why I recommend they are not used....that function in FMOD is typically used for music in games where the API is set to have areas/conditions where they will play and they aren't tied to player inputs etc.

@Slavthailand

Try setting the Event Macro "Priority" property to "High" or "Highest", if you haven't already. You can find it in the Master channel.

I'm not sure if that will work, but from the engine sound template it looks like it may be important

Perhaps this can happen when you copy the engine sound and create a new one. A similar case was described by rockeropasie..., you need to copy it through the template.
