FMOD Discussion [ETS2]

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

does someone know how to eliminate these warnings ?

i copied the Cascadia Airhorn to ETS2 and wrote the definitions for it 1:1 to what SCS did but the only difference is i get these warnings

@xXCARL1992Xx - I had that one long ago in ATS when I was making horns and didn't have the same number of banks in the file as the game had....not sure what truck you are working on but check to see that the count matches

it is air_horn_12 in ATS (Cascadia one) i copied over to ETS to use for the horn accessories, i renamed all to 01 to replace the SCS one and the warning is still there, so i need to redo it in fmod to get rid of it ?

I didn't use FMOD to make my horn mod back when 1.37 first came out....I just used the bank replacement tool for all 12 different banks and did the editing on the def side only...I used it more as a test of using that tool than actually replacing the horn sounds but I had the same (or similar...been a while now) error as you when I only did a replacement of the 1 bank I wanted to use and not all 12

EDIT: just reread my reply and it wasn't clear enough...I meant I did not include all 12 banks and defs in the mod even though I only wanted to use 1...my assumption was that anything to do with the horn superseded the defaults and the default defs couldn't find horn banks even though I wasn't trying to use those trucks

Edit: Ignore the previous, I was using the wrong version of mod

I have my first engine sound in game and working :D :D

I don't know if any of you have experimented with this, but it seems like the doppler effect is working now without causing that weird sound effect that we had before. I have a feeling that I might be celebrating this a little too early, but it seemed exciting.

Hello, I would like to ask a question, every time I make a new sound, lately I've been having problems with the sound inside the game, the sounds inside the cabin keep cutting for no reason, blinker sounds, sticks for example, does anyone know how to solve that?

Hello,I have successfully used Fmod to produce audio and it works well in Ets2.
Now I use ambient sound. When I drive into the trigger area, the audio volume will gradually increase, and the volume will be the largest when I approach the control node.
And after driving away from the trigger area, the remaining audio will not continue to play.

If I want the player to play the complete audio after passing through a trigger area (perhaps driving away from the trigger area), just like the old version of sound item, what do I need to do?
This is China Greater Bay Area map editor.

Hello Bro, by default the engine sound structure is always placed at the top of the truck, I want to adjust the sound of the engine coming back to the back of the truck, in the fmod sample file I customize the toolbar. I look forward to bro's guidance. Thank
