Truthfully I don't really mind either way they go with it but I'm leaning towards believing it'll all be done at once (perhaps I'd think differently if Alamo and Caliente weren't just hinted at)

Very exciting, and if they do two phases, I could see the northern phase coming with 1.6

For whatever reason they don't like to market the ATS reworks much (compared to ETS)- the Route 66 rework had very little fanfare but turned out fantastic, so hopefully I-80 will be similar.

Anyway just hyped that it seems to finally be happening

Yeah I concur, I think it’ll be all at once.

Nevada isn't as densely with cities and roads as California, so I think it's best to come all at once.

I also think Nevada will come in one go.
I hope something is being planned for southern Arizona after Nevada.

Been doing that for a while, it makes it bearable for the time being.
I just did a Modesto CA to McCook Nebraska via I-80. I haven't taken I-80 is probably 2 years. I was able to mostly get thru Nevada at night but its not just the visuals. Its the road itself that hurts gameplay. Sharp curves makes you slow down. It doesn't bank nor flow well. Non subtle elevated ramps. Ramps are not smooth at all. Old road prefabs are begging to get upgraded. The vegetation is actually pretty solid still for some of Nevada. The mountains are horrible compared to what we have now. So it will be a HUGE upgrade for Nevada no matter what.
Brendan0620 wrote: 14 Apr 2026 14:32 After seeing what Brothergun posted, as well as Spooks' updated Mileage Targets list; the biggest question on my mind is, will Nevada be split into two phases or will they just do the entire state in one go?

Knowing how long it's been, as well as Chicago's addition to ATS coming real soon, I'd prefer two phases with Northern Nevada coming before Southern Nevada.
I'm in the 2 phases boat. We can get I-80 much much sooner. I'm not buying anymore SCS maps til then. For those that don't like my stance, I can careless. I'm not effect anyone else with my decision, so keep your comments to yourself. Respect my opinion is all I'm asking.

I-15 is still very solid. I run I-15 from California thru Vegas and into Utah without any issues. If we get Nevada in phases, I'm willing to bet it gets the Arizona treatment........we get a lot more than we expected with phase 1. So US-50 and everything North of it hopefully. If only I-80 and North of that, I'm cool too.

I'm okay with all at once but I definitely lean more to phases. If all at once, that could be more like a Nov/Dec release. Easier pill to swallow if we can get it before Fall hits or with the compatibility update for SD.

I definitely agree here. Super excited to see assets for I-80 finally. We know its in the works. Question is...when will it be released. I too think there is a shot at getting phase one for 1.60. But I won't hold my breathe. I'd love to buy both Illinois and SD with a phase 1 Nevada release.

Nevada isn't dense with roads but I wouldn't underestimate the cities. They still need to be done well and detailed. I'm expecting a lot more density than what we had for all of Nevada at current scale. Phase 3 California really added density for I-5. I'm expecting a lot more wow out of Nevada this time. The approach for it is 1:20 scale, semi trucks and PRT driven. So Nevada shouldn't be anything less than what 1:20 scale can fit.

I made this quite some time ago. If we get Nevada in phases, we can probably get more out of Nevada and it not be rushed. Its still 12 potential cities. That's solid for Nevada. Primm is already done so that leaves 10. Small or large doesn't matter. Nevada should feature a lot more remote depots this go around. It will still take time. Its no different than Wyoming imho. Its sparse and spread out and Wyoming is one of the better Western states imho. If Nevada can match Wyoming, we good. I even think we get a few more roads to dense up the state this time too.

Solid chance Southern Arizona follows. From there, perhaps NM upgrades then its on to updates to everything after NM.

As one who supports doing it in one go, I think the argument flight brought up about I-15 not being terrible is one of the best arguments in favor of phases, since doing so would allow I-80 to come earlier, and that is the road that is sorely needed.

I just hope what *doesn't* happen is strictly a corridor, like what was done with I-40 in New Mexico. Sure, it'd be better than nothing, but the whole state needs rebuilt. Fortunately, based on the findings available so far, that doesn't appear to be the case.

With that, I say knock it all out in one go, although I wouldn't complain much about phases. I'd rather not have three different states split into different stages of rebuild if at all possible.
