Technically it's already in the game just not very realistic.

Bold man. I won't try it until I-80 is reworked. That's when I'll get caught up on dlc's I didn't buy post Louisiana. I remember how blank I-5 felt between Northern California and Southern California. The reworks made it 10x better for me. At 1:20 scale in mind, we got a lot more scenery. Scenic towns are more of a big thing now so I-5 became a really good visual route for me. I 100% expect I-80 Nevada to do the same exact thing......fill in where it should. Mke the map feel connected. Nevada is more barren but the updated scenery should make a HUGE difference.rbsanford wrote: 09 Jun 2026 21:06 I followed it up last night with San Francisco-Chicago along all of I-80 we currently have,
Reno needs a massive update. Its so off. Winnemucca will get a nice rebuild to be more accurate. Elko I never paid attention to. Jackpot is what it is. It too will be better visually. Not sure if they'll touch NV-225. NV-140 to OR-140, I'm afraid if they redo that one, that they'll mess up the awesome elevation. It actually has a summit. That route reminds me of what White Bird Hill should feel like elevation wise. This route came when lots of complaints came about Southern Oregon was empty. So for 2018/2019 mapping, OR-140/NV-140 did great on elevation. If they touch that route, its imperative that they don't mess up the elevation for that route.

Oh, one thing that they should definitely rework is CA-190 with Nevada, they never touched that in the CA reworks according to the map I looked at in the wiki. It looks pretty alright but I think it could be even better.

The 140 is solid, except for some of the draw distance at Doherty Slide. The only adjustment it would need would be minor tweaks at its connection with US 95, but it would be neat to also get OR 205 between Denio Jct. and Burns as an alternate route.
The 190 could use some more up to date textures and improved draw distance. It's not too bad as it is, but if it's left alone, then it'll be behind both California and Nevada, which would feel awkward. With the way national parks have been represented since 2017, I'd love to see how Death Valley would be approached today; one thing in the area we need for sure, just for fun/PRT, is Badwater Basin, the lowest point of North America.

Maybe the snuck in, mapped out and are making a deliverable custom depot for Area 51..... it's about the only thing I can pretend make sense on why they're so secretive about the rework.

Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
They are secretive because its ATS. We don't get reworks info nor do we know much at all about how PRT will run. The total opposite for ETS2. We know all the reworks and we know how Coaches will operate. ATS isn't on the menu for details on the level of ETS2 imho. Maybe if ATS player base was more equal, perhaps there would be more drive to provide the same level of information. Until that happens, we'll probably stay in the dark.

Yup, that’s my guess as well.
