Yep! I believe they even have a new brand of truck washes that aren't just "Chrome Spa" for more recent states, but I can't recall the name at the moment. Think they plan to have an east and west brand.
Check out my Michigan research map!

US-101 Ukiah? truck stop "fueling station https://www.google.com/maps/@39.1698777 ... 15836,156m, that part is not ingame.
Have they taken away those in Dinousaur and Steamboat Springs? Atleast they show up on https://truckermudgeon.github.io/#11.20 ... 2/-108.777
The one in Dinousaur is as much truck stop as that part has in real life.
Steamboat Springs? IRL, should be only one, next to the repair marker close to Venture https://truckermudgeon.github.io/#12.44 ... 8/-106.929

Same could be said for the NW quarter of Colorado, there are no gas stations for trucks anywhere west of I-25 and north of I-70.

@Shiva Yup, they were disabled for trucks. Probably because they use the prefab that has been reconfigured to be specifically for Road Trip.

Gas station and rest trigger spacing is one of my pet peeves, because it's something that should be so easy and standard-practice to check for during pre-production. That we still get gaps from time to time, and that they're now creating gaps post-facto, is weird.

Tristman, if comparing IRL, then only the Dinosaur in Colorado, should be for trucks.
But it could be good if that Ukiah could be reenabled for trucks. Bug report those?

I assume different people are working on different things, and one team does not take into account the things that another team purposely did.oldmanclippy wrote: 18 Jun 2026 12:47 Gas station and rest trigger spacing is one of my pet peeves, because it's something that should be so easy and standard-practice to check for during pre-production. @Shiva I can give it a try.

Finished up the Route 66 re-work.
After seeing what was done with The Grand Canyon I think I'm seeing a preference in the map for future updates involving national parks.
Petrified Forest & White Sands will probably be part of the next AZ/NM rework.
After Great Basin & NV is done the rework teams will start a PRT optimized National Park rework.
Possible additions for phase 1 (Southwest):
Big Bend
White Sands
Canyon Lands
Bryce Canyon
Zion
Mesa Verde
Great Sand Dunes
I think they will all fit into the current network and the gaps in the map.
Last 3 might be a bit tight, but after looking at what they did with garden of the gods, I think they can get them in there.

I don’t mind some spots not having gas stations, adds to the real feeling. The 70 West of Denver is very rural and has a stretch of over 100 miles between gas stations.
For Nevada Im thinking they are trying for doing the full thing at once or possibly the Southern Portion first as it’s connected to the recent work they did and considering how much the 80 being redone is a priority that would explain why they haven’t said anything.

Same here. If there is no real truck stop in the areas that people are talking about, then that's realistic. Plan accordingly. I hate seeing these normal gas stations that are not meant for semi trucks actually allow us to fuel there. I hope those kinda of fuel stations get downgraded for PRT instead. Back in the day, I use to drop my trailer and go fuel up at those tiny stations. Nowaday, I rather immersion. Its rare that a trucker drops his/her trailer to go fuel up at a tiny gas station.

Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
Almost 1 year ago, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 SCS launch the Blog about ''Route 66 Rework Project'' (Plus I-40 NM).
I'm curious if something about either the rest of AZ have been almost done by now, or NV is the goal, it is about time already.
