@Kistk3 Judging from there being new sign assets for Nevada, I think that's gonna be next; and if it is, thank goodness hallelujah it's been a long time coming. No official announcement yet, however.

If they do NV next, doing southern AZ (perhaps with I-10 in NM) next would make sense.

Holly cow. Route 66 was announced a year ago, yet that's been released some time ago and still no info on the next project. All we know is that there are two areas in the works. Its definitely time but the silence has taken a lot of excitement for me. I'm just waiting for whatever is getting work......to be released. I'm not excited about blogs for what's next. Show me the released date at this point.

Nevada does seems like the plan based on the game file info. Arizona would be next for sure. Nowwwww if SCS wants to get me excited (considering SCS has said there are 2 reworks projects), what I'd love to see is all of Nevada and the rest of Arizona in one shot. Nevada is simple and we only have 1/3 of Arizona left. I'd totally get pumped about this. After seeing the scope of Route 66, we got a lot more than what any of us expected. If they polishing off the rest of the base map in one huge shot...........oh on on board with that. NM can wait if SCS is targeting wrapping up the entire base map. This would mean they are aiming at pushing ATS to consoles first. This is possible if all the base map is rebuilt from scratch. Then NM would be the lowest quality dlc. Its also the first so rebuilding it to match the rest of Route 66 would work out well. The other older dlc's don't need complete rebuilds at this time. Some reskins sure but not rebuilds like the base map and NM needs.

With phased 3 California releasing, phase 4 California came pretty quick. Not even a year's wait and we had that. Then Route 66 included 2/3's of Arizona and all of I-40 in New Mexico. I wouldn't be surprised if we got all of Nevada and Arizona.

Big cities: Reno, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Tucson
Small cities: Carson City, Fallon, Winnemucca, Elko, Ely, Pioche?, Tonopah, Jackpot, Nogales, Sierra Vista, Clifton, San Simon?, Yuma

4 senior city mappers. Several map designers can tackle the small cities along with senior landscapers for the terrain. Junior mappers will fill in where they need to. So if this happens to be the plan, cool. That would definition take all of 2026 and possible lean over into Q1 of 2027. I wouldn't have an issue with that route at all.

I'm pulling for Douglas to replace San Simon as marked. Hopefully alongside a new forwarding company so that Lone Star doesn't have to do everything. I don't mind Lone Star having some facilities outside of Texas, but I definitely don't want them to be the only facilities on the Mexican border outside Texas.

I think is totally possible both to be done in one shot, the southern AZ and the whole NV, if this is one of the options, I hope SCS maximaze as much they can on the 1:20 game scale, and bring a lot of quality and quantity.

Wow it’s been a while. Can’t believe that’s how long ago it was announced.

I still feel like we are going to get some kind of announcement right before the release. I’m thinking Nevada is done all at once.

I’m somewhat frustrated with the blog coverage of the ATS base map reworks. The first, second, and third phases of the California rework received plenty of blog posts, but that changed after the release of Phase 3.

Phase 4 of the California rework received only three blogs. The last California rework blog was published on October 30, 2024, and after that we had to wait until June 25, 2025, for the first Route 66 rework blog.

The Route 66 project has received a total of four blogs, one of which was a Meet the Team article. The last Route 66 blog was published on January 3, 2026, and since then there has been silence once again.

When I compare this to ETS2, it feels like the blog coverage of ATS base map reworks has been falling behind quite significantly lately. I understand that development takes time and that blog posts are not always possible, but it would be nice to receive more regular updates on the progress of these projects.

I used ChatGPT to translate this into English.

I'm actually hoping Safford replaces San Simon and Douglas just gets added as new. We can definitely get Lone Star Forwarding for Douglas. If Douglas gets marked, its a must to link Douglas, Sierra Vista and Nogales without having to go to I-10. There's plenty of space. I'm pulling for AZ-80, AZ-82 and/or AZ-92/ AZ-90 to make these connections.

Adding my two cents here:

Rest of AZ and whole NV in one shot: I doubt that will happen. There are plenty of assets for NV to help the suspicion it will be next, but I doubt we'll get both at the same time given the lack of references for South AZ, I'd love to be wrong though because getting both simultaneously would be epic.

Douglas AZ: I would like to see this border city make it into ATS, and yeah, unmarking San Simon is definitely the right choice.

What bothers me is the lack of communication regarding the Rework in ATS. In ETS2, for example, the UK Rework was announced while the Benelux Rework was still under development. I would be satisfied with just the confirmation: "We are working on the Nevada Rework". We know that it is happening based on what can be found in the map editor, but I wish they were more communicative about the project, just like they are in ETS2.

I think that's how this team operates. Both California-4 and Route 66 rework communications happened at the tail end of the rework. Expecting a similar pattern here.
