Ella is working on Phoenix AZ which will be apart of another project, but she is also assisting with Nevada's Road Network.

After the unexpected Crown Jewel that was Albuquerque, I couldn't think of a better person to work on one of the next crown jewels than Ella.

So it sounds like both Nevada AND southern Arizona are ongoing. Though obviously Nevada is much further along, I imagine.

From looking at more of the blog, it sounds like Panaca will get marked and will hopefully replace Pioche.

Well, Ella confirming Phoenix basically confirmed that the Arizona rework is happening in parallel with the Nevada rework It is also interesting to note that not everyone from the Route 66 Rework is on the Nevada Rework, which further highlights the division of the teams.

Interesting tidbit to note: The MTT blog for Nevada came just a month after the project reveal, while it took the Route 66 MTT blog just 2-1/2 months to come after that project's reveal. I think there's a chance for Nevada's rework to close the year (2026) and maybe we'll get the rest of Arizona sometime in 2027. Just speculation on my part however.

Idk if I understand it correctly but it seems that Panaca will replace Pioche and from new marked towns/cities we will get Fallon, which was already known iirc, and Carlin.

Any idea what that surprise might be? I'm from Poland so I can't think of anything other than whole Lake Tahoe

Carlin and Elko are only 24 miles distance from each other on I-80. I'd like to see how they squeeze both of them due in to the scale. Other examples are: Nampa and Boise, Springdale and Fayetteville, Moline and Davenport, Omaha and Council Bluffs, ...
