Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
My predictions? I have none. I don't need or want to explain why.
Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
just seeing that the 5700 is w.i.p. is good enough for me. no expected time for me really but 1.47 is a good guess. they can do it when ever but this deep into 1.46, I think they just wait til 1.47.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
Just to clarify on my earlier post that has been somewhat misunderstood: the 5700XE was pretty much the first truck to have the Detroit DT12 as the default transmission, but it could still be specced with Eaton AMTs, Eaton manuals, and Allison automatics, with the DT12 or Eaton 13 & 18 speed manuals being the most common options. The DT12 had to be mated to the Detroit DD engines, while the Eatons could be used with the Detroit DD or Cummins ISX engines.
I do not know of any 5700XE with the Cummins X15, though they did have brief production overlap so it is possible there could be X15/Endurant 5700XE models in existence, but that is something I've never seen IRL.
And whoever said earlier that there are no manual transmissions in American Truck Simulator was correct. All of the Eatons in the game are AMTs. If you're fine with shifting those manually, then there's nothing stopping you from shifting the DT12 with your manual setup, you'd map it like a 13 speed with no 1st/LL gear.
