Edit : On the other hand, 5th wheel can slide. I just compare the position with internet images
The best way to solve the 5th wheel issue is to allow it to slide to where the player wants it. ATS/ETS2 should be about every option possible imho. I too don't see much of an issue with the current position of the 5th wheel. Its typically centered between the 2 rear most axles. But the option to slide them should be possible as well.

Who knows. Might be added after the engine upgrade?

The 49X is a favorite of mine, and is my heavy hauler. I do wish that I can move the 5th wheel a little bit more forward, as that truck is usually paired with a 3+3+3 lowboy, which does not need the maximum clearance from the rear of the cab or chassis.

We can only hope. I think it would go well with multi drop and being able to split up doubles and park both trailers at dynamically assigned docking bays.

By the way, 57X is coming for AI soon. ;)
I hope the 49X with the other cabins and variants appear in the traffic as well and now that we're past the IRL release time, the spawn rate can be increased :)

I finally saw my first 49x irl here in Dallas 1-2 weeks ago. It will be pretty cool once the 49x and 57x become more common irl. The spawn rate can get cranked up in ATS.

Once the 5700 goes thru all the bugs it need for fixes, the spawn rate can get dailed up from the start. It should be lower than the Cascadia, LT, VNL, 579, T680, 389 and W900 though. I think the sweet spot for the 5700 is where the Mack Anthem is right now. Then the 9900i just notch or 2 lower than the Anthem and 5700.

Some truck are more common than others per region too so that's a factor to consider. Overall, the variety has more than doubled since even the VNL dropped towards the end of 2018. Only more will get added over time and that will be an awesome site. Thanks for taking time out your busy schedule and chiming in Truckerdog. Its always good to see gold comments.
Even if the truck is common, if we see a scene like that, it would be still OK.

Exactly what ATS needs: Truck stops with more model varieties. It seems very strange that there are almost no Cascadias and LT parked at the truck stops.
PS: Is the one you used a mod? Where can I?

@Rockatansky6

looks like "tuned truck traffic pack" by TrafficManiac...

i use this mod, it adds bull bars, hood mirros, bumpers and such to the AI traffic

but like i mentioned before, the most common trucks i see are Volvos, Peterbilts and Kenworth and some Freightliners, rarely a Mack, International and Western Star so i can´t tell how far those are effected.

about the Western Star 5700XE:

what is up with the exterior parts where we have no second option? will there be more parts added later? i would love to get at least a hint 😉

I am obsessed with 5th wheel position because it is such an important part of having a good weight distribution between steer axle, drive axles and trailer axles. The DOT does not joke around when you, the trucker, can not be bothered with getting the correct weights on your axles. You will get a ticket. If you pick up a load and you cannot get the truck weight distribution within specs by moving the 5th wheel or sliding the tandems then you turn around to the shipper, unload and reload again with the load in a different position on the trailer.

And then i see in ATS the 5th wheel position being way out of the normal and nobody seems to care. That annoys me so much.
