Re: Mileage bragging Thread
Alrighty then, after a brief break from trucking I'm back to chasing @Andre Santos xD. I finally got the Western Star over the 100k finish line back in January. My 9th truck over 100k. I mean how many does Andre have over 100k? Just 1? Pfffff what a slacker.

Up next I'm working on the International LT, which you can see above is almost halfway there already lol. What can I say, I've been lazy about bragging.

I should have wrote reviews of each of the trucks as I drove them, but I don't remember them all anymore. The K100E is by far my favorite but it's a mod. It has power, a tight turn radius, maneuverability, great visibility, and it looks sweet. I want to say the Pete 579 has been my favorite stock truck, but I honestly don't remember all of them well enough anymore to say for sure. It's definitely not the LoneStar lol. I hated that truck. I love the old school W900 but oof, their length make their turn radius one of the worst, which can be painful in all these small yards.
As far as the last 2 trucks go, the LT has a better turn radius than the Western Star making it slightly easier to park doubles and triples, but at a max of 565 HP and only a 280 gallon tank (WS 605/300), it's a little more painful to pull those larger loads. The WS instrument panel lacked an "estimated fuel remaining" gauge that I like because I like to run my tanks as dry as possible before refueling lol. It's back with the LT, but the LT lacks a headlight indicator, so sometimes I don't realize my headlights are off until I get a fine for it. The only way to check if they're on without switching to outside view is to flash the brights, the blue indicator only comes on if your headlights are on. Also the LT has no slot on the dashboard for a GPS. Well it appears to have a spot shown in the red circle below, but you can't actually put one there. Possible bug? You can put a smaller vertical GPS where the green circle is, but then it blocks your hood mirror.

The only other thing I don't like about the LT is the driver side mirror. I like to be able to see it without having to turn my head, but I can't do that without warping the FOV and moving my seat too far back. I could see it partially or well enough in the WS, but in that truck the side mirror created a huge blind spot when checking for cross traffic, so pick your poison I guess lol.

Re: Mileage bragging Thread
The LT is intentionally missing the GPS because that's the basic interior option. The other two interior options for the truck have a built in GPS in that slot.

Ahhh dang, is that the problem? <a few moments later> ... yep that was the problem xD. Well now I feel like a dummy. I prefer the basic interior though because I don't like any of the wood grain looks. I think I've taken the basic interior on most of the trucks for that reason but I believe most of those come with the GPS anyway. It would make more sense to me if the GPS were part of that other menu where you can choose stuff to decorate the cab. Hey, no GPS for you unless you take the wood grain trim xD.supersobes wrote: ↑07 Mar 2022 06:28The LT is intentionally missing the GPS because that's the basic interior option. Alright I think I finally figured out how to catch @Andre Santos once and for all. I'm going to play ATS and ETS2 at the same time, so I'll get there twice as fast.

While I work on getting my 10th truck in ATS over 100k miles, I just got my first truck in ETS2 over 100k .... km? Oh dang, I forgot about the exchange rate. Am I supposed to wait until I'm at 160,394km (100k miles) before I brag? That's just not a nice round number. So I guess I'm only at 62,371 miles on the Volvo. Who knew bragging was going to involve all this math? To be fair, driving 100k km in Europe feels like driving 100k miles in ATS am-I-right?!. I mean yeeesh, with all these toll booths, slow speeds, check points, and constant speed limit changes? It makes a guy want to start drinking.

Whelp, time to get my new Mercedes up to 62,371 miles next.

@Reignman lol you're funny... Making miles on ATS is better than ETS2 because of the higher speed.. (WoT contracts in my case). Keep up the hard work... You're doing great...
