Ok, work on the exclusives in-house and outsource idk reworking of older models or facelifting of existing models. How about that? That seems reasonable to me.

I really wish SCS never showed models before they are fully ready. People are never patient.

It's taking so much time. It's good work, but the time it takes for the teams to complete a project is long. I don't want SCS to overwork people working on trucks, I just think it would be cool if we had more up-to-date trucks in terms of graphic quality.
A lot of players don't want to play older trucks simply because of the quality, and I get it. Those models were released in 2012-13. And for that reason, they are so impatient when it comes to new trucks.

That's why I said that it seems reasonable to me to outsource reworking older models and facelifting "newer" trucks.

Can’t expect ANYTHING different given contracts and all. It depends a lot on the particular company too. Generally things move fast when OEMs are actively involved, looking at the recent examples.

I wouldn’t count on outsourcing either. First, brands may not allow that, especially if such a rework happens with the help of company’s reference documents. Second, SCS cannot ensure quality or timely delivery in such cases all the time.

The one year duration is normal according to some sources. We might only know some factors but there might be more to that, things one normally wouldn’t know and should not be communicated.

3 man years are needed (or 2 to 2 1/2) wich is condensed to 1 year because 3 people work per truck, exterior, interior, def/painjobs, and then there is all the bureaucratic nonsense involved a modder has not to deal with

I just hope the reworks are somewhere on their list of things to do.

3 people? That's very small, isn't it?

no ? it would be dumb if 5 people work on the exterior, then you will see the differences between all 5 people same for the interior

S-Way, FH 2020, MAN 2020 & MP5 are still in queue. Most likely going to take 3 more yrs for the 3 trucks if it takes 1 yr per truck, if & only if rest of the things are in place & would go as per plan. By the time we are in 2026 new trucks might queue up again. So unless, SCS wants to visit old trucks & gets a dedicated team in place (3 people as Carl mentioned) to bring them to today's standards, I won't hold my breath.

Personally, I like the Hi-Way, its a cute truck, but am I going to get in an updated version of it over the new trucks.. most likely not
