I can assume that in any attempt to get something from Russian companies, many may encounter a swamp of bureaucracy and corruption, the level of which in Russia is prohibitive...
Therefore, it is easier for developers to negotiate with more stable companies in other countries.
This is my guess.

That's a good point, but SCS already had to sort that out prior to those vans to be included. Remember that they used fake name brands for all the trucks before acquire the licenses many years ago. My point it that is very unlikely they would do the same with brands they have never licensed before (so they have no previous relationship).

If they had added the Ural truck in a fake-brand look is because SCS had no intention to add it into the game in a long long time if ever. And probably due the reason you mention; it's a truck with a purpose clearly way out the scope of the game.

@Some newbie driver, yes your point its logical and i think the truck is out of game target too, but i hope they do some fake urals to add to the HOR AI traffic, especially with the new logging zones.

By the way i found other unlicensed truck from a brand already licensed, the Mercedes Econic, as a garbage picking truck.
So last Iveco was in 2013 and last Actros was in 2015 and both the Daily and the Econic were intruduced in 1.30 in 2017, but they launch the Actros tuning in 2019 so maybe that means nothing.

I think everything is much simpler.
SCS seize every opportunity for their project.

And what about we start to expand the game’s core idea? Why staying only in the long haul?

Of course that could happen. But its NOT going to happen soon, not at all. Between long haul semi-tractors and rigid all-terrain off road vehicles there's lot of other options of trucks we can't drive in the game. If after almost 10 years we had not none of those vehicles; that are more similar to the semis we have now so the game shouldn't need so many changes; is more unlikely then they jump directly to the off-road ones. If it happens it will be in a period of time so long that the fact they included 3 years ago the Ural would had no real impact (probably because the truck itself would had been discontinued IRL).

New trucks that would like to see in the game:

MAN TGX 2020 (already under development, coming soon)
Volvo FH 2020 (hope will be one of next)
IVECO S-Way

Updates of current trucks:

MB Actros 2018 version with mirror cams and digital dashboard
Scania NextGen 2021 Super version with new engines and mirror cams

I said TGX because was announced but if is about non announced truck than is FORD F MAX, remember that in a screenshot of their discord was a thread called FORD, and DAF thread wasn t. Iveco could be also, but lower chance. Kamaz or Sisu don t belive, Kamaz probably new model after HoR. Isuzu isn t most European.
Volvo and Mercedes most probably will come like Evo and EL3

@Virgo91, agree with you. I'm genuinely disgusted by the new digital instrument cluster on the new TGX. As a conservative person, all these high-tech space technologies in a truck are alien to me. The arrow instrument panel from the VAG group is restrained and comfortable to read, and is also very familiar from the cars of this auto giant. I really hope that SCS will bring the classic budget dashboard into the game, as they did with the Scania NG. And the GM cab, of course. The new GX, without side windows at the top of the cab and with a low windshield, looks somehow unusual. It's like a "cap". MAN is my favorite brand of tractors, but, unfortunately, the TGX E6 is outdated in terms of quality and does not reach the level of the new Scania NG, DAF XG or Renault T, so I can’t drive MAN tractors in ETS 2 with pleasure (sounds are a separate pain , but let's not talk about it). Modders do not save the situation. All hopes for TGX 2020 from SCS. In the meantime, I suffer in anticipation, riding the Scania NG. Although the exterior of the TGX E6 is closer to my liking than the TGX 2020, there is not much to choose from.
