Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Nothing comes to mind other than a new Volvo or a new Actros
I don't speak English very well, and I use Google translator, excuse me
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Besides the new MAN, there are only 3 other options, the Iveco S-Way, the new Volvo FH16 or the new Actros "MP5", but the thing with the Volvo and the Actros is that they could just come as a facelift for the ones we already have in game (i hope they don't do that) like they did with the Renault T-Evo and the MAN EL3, so, the only realistic option for a another new truck made with good quality is the S-Way.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
What about the Ford F-Max as a 4th option?
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Could be, but i don't think so, the F-Max has only one configuration and i personally believe SCS doesn't wants to add something like that for the foreseeable future, but who really knows.

Yep the F-Max doesn't have a lot of options, but i still believe it has it's place in ETS 2. I don't know if i will drive it to be honest, but i'm sure some people would like to drive it.
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
If they do that for the FH and Actros they'll do the same with new 579, VNL and T680 on ATS. That's a route SCS knows it's bad and knows that if they take it, a lot of people will be unhappy. The only reason of why the T Evo and EL3 were just updates were because the existing models have good quality.JoeAlex23 wrote: ↑11 May 2022 20:31 Besides the new MAN, there are only 3 other options, the Iveco S-Way, the new Volvo FH16 or the new Actros "MP5", but the thing with the Volvo and the Actros is that they could just come as a facelift for the ones we already have in game (i hope they don't do that) like they did with the Renault T-Evo and the MAN EL3, so, the only realistic option for a another new truck made with good quality is the S-Way.

Now, the truck i'm expecting the most on ETS2 is the S-Way (ETS2 really needs a new and modern Iveco), followed by the new FH, the TGX 2020 in 3rd and lastly, the Actros 5.
Tbh, I don't really care which one comes first, since I don't see myself leaving my T High anytime soon. But if the choice was up to me, I'd pick the Iveco all day every day, since it's the most different truck and it would look really nice when made with the new truck standards.
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
That's what i'm worried about, and i really hope they don't do that BS, with the Actros it wouldn't bother me that much since is not the worst model in ETS2, but if they do it with the FH i will be very disappointed, and if they pull off the same thing in ATS with the new 579, VNL and T680 i will get really pissed.
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Another reason to believe they won't take that route is the simple fact that none of them popped up in the game yet. I'm sure that it would take way way less time to model a few new parts here and there than to make a whole new truck and if it that was the case, we would have the new FH, Actros 5, 579, T680 and VNL in the game by now.
Also, in the Xmas stream, it was mentioned by SCS that they have a decent number of vehicles currently in production. If that doesn't ring a bell that SCS is making them from scratch then I don't know what will.

True, i also believe that, but knowing "SCSoon", anything can happen.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
In fact, there was a pretty long topic by here about all the options SCS have beyond the "fantastic 7" for new trucks on ETS2. There were quite interesting options without even mentioning special builders companies.
People is too heavy-focused only on most popular brands of trucks, like it's too focused on which zones could SCS "only" map or other things of the game. When in reality SCS has a lot more options we use to reckon it's just as they could not please us (or not so much as other) we discard them as possibilities. But that's not a fair or objective way to think, just our subjectivity as anonymous clients talking; not something any serious company is going to rely on to take decisions.
It's usual for people here to compare lots of different details about SCS games with other "driving games" (generically speaking). But regarding vehicle variety (that is one key point of lots of those driving games); then it seems people here rather a bald minimal cosmetic change on a well known brand than have truly variety of choice in truck models. Some people seem even being actively against that. It' ranges from curious to weird.
