They're trying to be original with their designs. Meanwhile, most of well selling trucks have lots of similarities*. Low rectangular-ish lamps, large but not too wide grill, not overdone with details. All that seems to work together, if you take out one (VW lamps, bmc grill, ford cargo... Whatever the hell that is) and it ends up ugly.

*Doesn't apply to Renault, but the French can get away with everything when it comes to design.

They all end in more or less the same because the constrains of the sizes, aerodynamics, physics and technical reasons are the same for all of them. And then lots and lots of years of the same designs everywhere create a trend. Broke that trend doesn't make you automatically ugly, the Renault one is the clear example (is the only one what raises the middle finger to the established trends and proposes a clearly different design).

The problem with the Cargo and the VW IMHO is their nonsense in their overall design.... al bulky forms and straight lines but then they put those silly enormous round lamps (and in the VW, also the badge) that didn't mix at all with the rest of the design. Is like to draw a bull and put it the eyes of a fly; just doesn't match. BMC is just strange IMHO, but at least it's not a mess of individual unrelated parts like the other two.

We already have the model tho. If anything might be just sound related. Not really for this thread.

Might be the extra long 6x4 chassis and SUPER- engines (with new sounds), gearboxes, paintjobs and other stuff?!

something good is coming
I don't get it. We know sounds are as good on ETS2 as they are on Gran Turismo (aka the real hoover simulator). And why would they need to stay in Sweden several days in order to get the technical data for a new engine or drivetrain? Obviously this can be done by Teams/Zoom/Skype.

@Prince Its not like in-person wouldn't hurt. Plus they have sound stuff in the 3rd picture for possible recording.

Who knows, hopefully, I know it is a long shot, it could come with a retexture of the older Scania.

Update current Scania NG to Super version with new engines and transmissions, adding mirror cams and some other changes.

Probably will be added new Highline XL cab which has become longer by 27 cm.

I just found out on a youtube video a highlighted comment by sisl that SCS is reworking not only the oldest man, but also the one that came in 2019. The oldest one is much appreciated a total rebuild, but regarding the newer one I'm a bit confused. IMO the 2019 released' MAN is one of the best, with the most quality, trucks in the game ATM. Did 'rework' maybe means more features/options? because the model, interior and exterior wise, seems very good to me.
