The Ramadan Feast and Istanbul’s Villages

Hi Everyone!

This year everyone have had to make big changes in lives due to the pandemic. For example a lot of events were cancelled or postponed. Pandemic also affected the month of Ramadan.

The month of Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims. Ramadan is also a time for spiritual reflection, prayer, doing good deeds and spending time with family and friends. This month, people host guests at dinner called Iftar. Also many activities are done together. But, Families stayed in their homes during Ramadan due to measures taken to prevent pandemic. After a whole month of fasting during Ramadan comes the feast. This year, the feast will be celebrated for 3 days on 24-25 and 26 May. Ramadan Feast (also known as Eid al-Fitr) is it's a time for Muslims to meet, pray and celebrate with their family and friends. But because of the coronavirus pandemic, many people stay home this year and celebrate the feast with their families online. Our Eid al-Fitr wish is that all people live healthy, happy and peaceful and all injustices and wars come to an end. Eid Mubarak!

Since the Ramadan Feasts is a holiday, most people travel to cities and villages. Villages all over Anatolia are among the places visited by people with their untouched nature and peaceful atmosphere. Also village culture has an important in Anatolia. Although Istanbul is known for its metropolitan lifestyle, there are places with village life. Situated in the nearby districts of Istanbul, these villages are ideal for a quiet life away from the crowd of city.

We know that ETS 2 drivers want to travel on rural roads rather than wide highways. Considering this situation, we have included some villages in the European and Anatolian side of Istanbul in our map mode. We try to reflect the structure of the villages as much as possible. We want to show you screenshots from these works. We hope to offer more than. Stay tuned!

Crossing Gate to Anatolia: Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge

Hi Everyone! 🖐

In our previous posts, we said that we had included Anatolian side of Istanbul in our map mod. So, which route do trucks use in the transition from Istanbul to Anatolia? Answer is Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which connects the Asian and European sides for the third time. This Bridge, which is an important part of the Northern Marmara Motorway, has been operating since 2016 as one of the crossroads of transit transportation between the two continents.

The bridge located in the part of the Bosphorus connecting to the Black Sea; With its width of 59 m and tower height of 322 m, it is the largest and highest suspension bridge which has railway in the world. On 1875 m long bridge, there is 4-lane highway and a section reserved for the 2-lane railway planned to opereted later. Through 5,800 LED lighting devices placed on the bridge, the bridge not only hosts light shows on special days, also takes on various colors to raise awareness of autism, cancer and violence against women. Through its lighting technology, it offers magnificent views with its ever-changing colors in daily life.

You will be able to use Yavuz Sultan Selim bridge in TR Extended Map Mode Istanbul Edition. The unique Bosphorus view and eye-catching lights will accompany you on your day and night transport. We are happy to able to share the wonderful screenshots of the bridge with you. We look forward to sharing more.

Man that looks beautiful, but I still wonder how you want to fit all this into the 1:19 scale, as Istanbul is pretty big already.
