Re: Truck World: Australia
I d/l this last night and gave it a try. The character name and fake Aussie accent were cringeworthy! I couldn't figure out how to adjust the seat and mirrors, so i couldn't read the dash or see down the LHS side of my truck. The graphics were terrible, but that might be my settings...

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Now I've tested Truck World Australia and I find it promising. I'm even thinking of playing it and putting ATS and ETS2 aside for a while, it'll be a nice change

Re: Truck World: Australia
I played it yesterday. It's definitely not on the quality level of ETS2 and ATS, but it looks very promising nonetheless!
I think this will be a great addition to ETS2 and ATS, but I'm not convinced (yet) that it'll be interesting for hundreds of hours like SCS's games.

Re: Truck World: Australia
I tried it. In the first 2 minutes I saw: a car going in circles over and over on an intersection, a car that crashed into my character, turned on hazard lights and never moved again ever. Then over the next 20 minutes I saw.... A road and some bushes. And then more of the same road and some more bushes. Felt like I've seen the entire game already.
And then I got a radio call to which I was not able to react in time, which resulted in me landing in a ditch.
And for whatever reason the mouse cursor kept disappearing after changing keybinds. At this point I gave up. If the game finds a group of people, fans of going straight in an unchanging landscape, good for them. But I was falling asleep.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I this game isn't even fully finished yet. So of course there will be bugs.

Well, "Truck World: Australia – First Haul", is sort of a demo.
NTM's B-Double Telescopic Skeletal Container Carrier. Youtube video on how it works. W & S thread.
B-Double trailer and short modes: EN 7.82 swap body, 20’ or 30’ containers.
Standalone 40' mode: EN 7.82 swap body, 20', 30', 40' or 2 x 20' trailer.

Shows a lot of promise I think. Device support is really good, range/splitter works in switch mode. They've started out in the desert so there's no variety in biomes yet, but you have to start somewhere.
As far as "a car going in circles over and over on an intersection", watch dash cams australia and you'll see some of that

Meanwhile in Australia...

The pace is still very slow, but they're still making progress.
