Re: Texas Discussion Thread
I'd be surprised if tankers are not part of the compatibility update for Texas. I am greedy so if Montana can bring step decks, Texas can bring tankers. If nothing from Montana, cool. Texas getting a solid 3 trailers for "Trailers Part 3" is cool too. Tankers, step decks, better car hauler and curtain sider. Any of those 3....and I'm estatatic.
I'd love to start seeing the lands of the Great Plain start bringing in variety in leaf crops...wheat, barley, rye, corn, sugar cane, alfalfa, bean products, lettuces, etc. Pretty much the vast majority of products in the Agricultural thread in my signature is what I want to in ATS eventually. Each new dlc should target 2-3 crops per dlc imo. ATS needs a ton more cargo for all its trailer types but Agricultural can be the largest wide spread industry in ATS. Come onnnnnmn dedicated cargo team.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Hopefully, complex prefabs come one day. So Colorado still has hope. That could be when older states get updates for prefabs. Farms, logging camps , quarries, wind farms and oil & gas, all those off road sites are pushed quite deep off the main road usually. I'd like to see these prefabs double to 3 times the sizes they are now. Eat up some of that wasted space. These prefabs can easily have 2-3 areas where we can pickup or drop off cargo. 2-3 crops, 2-3 oil sections. 2-3 parts if the mine, 2-3 parts in the forest, etc. I'd love to see mini road networks within these prefabs all connecting together. 2-3 ways to get into these camps from the main roads so that it's not always the same entrance/exit.
Complex perhaps was mentioned in a blog a year or so ago. If DX12 brings this option, that would be great. In combination with multi drop, aka LTL..that takes gameplay up a nothing for me. Others features will come as well but these 2 involve ICCs which are high priority for me. Cargo transport is what the game is supposed to be about. Everything else, just falls in place.

Shell alone is not good enough imho. Exxon has to show up as well with both as the minimum. But for me, 3 new gas companies represent Texas best. Exxon, Shell, Valero and/or ConocoPhillips. We already have BP, Chevron and whatever Gallon is suppose to be. It could go for Texaco or Phillips 66 based on its color scheme. Gallon imo could get rebranded. To me, it seems too simple like not a lot of effort put into its name. It's work the devs probably won't do though. Lots of skin changes. But it could get redesigned Annie style though.
If each Gulf city can have a different gas company, we good. One of the smaller cities may have to host 2 gas refineries. The other cities needs to bring a mix of chemical plants and ports. We already saw the Houston porr from the 2021 xmas stream. The entire Texas coast needs to be pretty industrial though.
For Texas to feel like Texas, it's 4 regions will need to depict their specializations well. The livestock region and the oil & gas region will be the 2 most obvious ones. A good economy with good diversity is what Texas needs to have a huge check mark on. Texas may or may not be able to follow up Montana's industry blog. The potential is there for sure. Industry blogs seem to come early on in the process but nothing really defined for Texas outside of what we do know...glass Plant and forwarding facility. So Texas industries will be interesting to see what all comes.
