Re: Texas Discussion Thread
All Texas blog posts have been great, but the 'ROCKS' one really got me pumped. The chihuahuan desert looks awesome. I'm gonna do lots of San Antonio-Albuquerque trips back and forth.
Best Regards.

The big one at Angleton? That'd be a nice landmark, but don't know how likely it would be that we would get the 288, though. With Freeport as a marked city this could work; Freeport would be perfect as a marked city, since it's isolated enough from Houston and Galveston, and has a ton of industry for its relatively small size, mostly chemical plants (fitting for the recent blog post).

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Freeport would be a great marked city to get. It makes sense too, considering we're getting TX-35 parallel with US-59. Rather than try some funky maneuver to get it to connect up to Houston or Galveston, it could stop at TX-288 which would take us to Freeport, and then TX-332, Brazoria CR-257, and FM-3005 would take us to Galveston. Seems like something that SCS would at least consider.

Freeport would be kinda cool actually. Its the closest we get to Louisiana water ways. Considering Louisiana is in the distance future now, Freeports gets us a lil takes of multiple waterways in a small area. There's pretty good industry there too. Its another port city. Can't have too many of those. Not the way oil/gas is in Texas. Then all the chemical plants down there.

Ferry Network for the Gulf?
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Network? I think there's only the Port Bolivar ferry.
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
We will get High Island, Winnie, and the Bolivar ferry. I think there could be Surfside, Seawall, and the Galveston dock. If we get TX-288 through Angleton and Lake Jackson, there is a chance we will get Freeport. Also that's where Buc-ee's HQ is so maybe they could model that. The other way is from Matagorda in which I took irl many times beside TX-288, which is unlikely.
But honestly, probably no TX-288. The Houston area would already be too compact.
