Just saw the Texas ICC news. Popping open an imaginary champagne bottle right now!

This is so exciting, guys! Texas delivers. Big props to @flight50 and everyone else here for keeping on the good fight for a better economy.

Think we can say without a doubt now that Texas is going to be the best DLC ATS has ever had. A perfect start to a Season 2 of sorts, starting off the agricultural heartland of the US!

Anyone exploring the boundaries again will see that a lot has been updated and is in a more finished phase, including the vegetation. It's to get a sense of how detailed Texas will be.

@flight50
Yeah, I think a lot of them are Texas-specific. All of the airports, the freight terminals and the space park.
Some of the others are new industries mentioned in https://blog.scssoft.com/2021/06/texas- ... efabs.html
So I think we can say the following:

AI Automotive - car manufacturing plant, we already got a blog all about this
American Truck Haulers - the prefab is already in the map editor (named tx truck transportation), looks like a big garage, possibly a logistics company?
Azure - the sign confirms that this is the glass company
Deep Wells - we saw in the oil blog, this might produce mining/drilling equipment, it had a brand new prefab as well
Lone Star Forwarding - the company that forwards products across the border I guess, we saw the prefab in the Landmarks and Prefabs blog
Mary's Cotton - the cotton gin of course
Petrolucent - we saw in the oil blog and I think they purely do oil storage, but they are not a variant on the existing Gallon oil storage prefab
TERA - offshore solutions, oh boy, this prefab will probably be a harbor drop-off point or something

In Dallas, there is not only DFW airport, but also Love Field. The main road that serves that airport is Mockingbird Lane. When I visited Dallas in 1999, there were already skyscrapers being built right and left. Las Colinas is one of the many business parks in Dallas. I rode the DART light rail and just about 90& of the stops has a business park serving it. Even Oscar heard me talking about underground loading docks. There is one at Cityplace. I am not sure how tall the building at City Place is but it's a monster! With the tons of condos built there, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if SCS even starts adding residential furniture moving. And that would require the Kentucky Road drop-deck trailer. My uncle who lived in Dallas lived not too far from Jim Miller Road and I-30. I wouldn't mind taking a drive down Mockingbird Lane.

Texas being added makes the World Map so much more exciting now, too. You can now see as far east as Florida and Michigan! It's the first time on unmodded ATS I've been able to see my home state of Michigan, and it's exciting to see. It'll be a while until I can drive there in game, but we've got a lot of cool stuff coming in the mean time.

I flew in and out of Love Field when I visited Texas back in 2019. It's a very good airport.

Overall very excited for Texas, also looking forward to the next blog! just saw that Texas in the SteamDB as a depot is nearly 600MB (571MB). By far the largest size DLC in MB and It's going to be huge. :)

I wanted to throw this out; Texas DLC is the #67th upcoming most wish-listed game on steam right now. That's amazing! Just shows how much hype is around this DLC, and from the looks of it, SCS has killed it. Can't wait to see the next blog very soon.

Edit: both highly anticipated DLCs from SCS (Heart of Russia (26th), and Texas) are the only DLCs in the Top 100. That's incredible!

Texas may not be highlighted in the map but in the job browser, it already has it's name written on it. So the release is for sure shaping up to be next month.
