Re: Texas Discussion Thread
I didn't have checked the Texas pictures for Deepgrove, but Montana has several locations (like 8+ or so) with Deepgrove. And I'm afraid those are not placeholders.
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Walmart is in every state in the US I am sure in real life. But they are not in every city in real life and SCS might be making it that way. That is why I need to look into it. Most cities of decent size will have them though. I'm cool with (1) Walmart in every city.........if it truly exist where SCS is placing it. What's not cool is having multiple Walmarts in close proximity to the next closest city. If there are 5 cities in a 200 mile radius, why does each of those 5 need 2 Walmarts in a city? Every city in ATS does not need a distribution and a store.
The small Eddy's Wallbert....those are Walgreens. No Walmart in real life is that small. The closest is Walmart Neighborhood and it looks nothing like Eddy's. Not even remotely the same companies. Make Walgreens and separate it from Walmart like I mentioned here a year ago. viewtopic.php?p=1483622#p1483622
As far a Deepgrove, although I think 2 lumber companies would be ideal in the Western region as 11 states that make up the West, Texas is the one that does not work with Deepgrove. Its not even remotely close to the PNW. Why bring Deepgrove way to Texas. The problem is most all of SCS, does not play their own game. I bet most have less than 10 hrs played in year. They don't see it like we do. I challenge SCS to put themselves in our shoes and see how repetitive it is to play ATS compared to ETS2. I think it should be mandatory for every ATS team member to play their own game to see what people are talking about. Then maybe they will get what ICC's are so important. ICCs is the game. The economy is the game but its lacking.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
I really hope we don't get like 80-90 per cent of Wallbert in Texas cities. We need a competitor for Wallbert. Clicked the link and I agree with you it's not a wallbert but ats team made sure it was a wallbert. I've mentioned this before just felt a bit disappointed to see Deepgrove and Wallbert in last two blogs of Montana and Texas. Show us some new companies for these states being worked on, also new cargo too we got a hint of Lode King which I'm looking forward to getting a licensed trailer finally. SCS team that went over to Canada and US hopefully they are talking for more trailer licences. These two microsites are perfect opportunities to see concepts for new companies.
Re: Texas Discussion Thread
If we got Lode King which is Canadian, I'd love to see SCS go after Manac trailers. They have a trailer for nearly every single trailer type in the game currently. There are about 10-12 different trailers that a Manac pack could bring us. I sure hope the lines of communication is really opening up with North American companies like it has for ETS2. That is a step in the right direction.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
In one of the streams they said about some staff staying back in North America. Yeah I'm sure with Oscar being over in NA helps with lines of communication and builds up relationships with companies etc.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
flight50, regarding Wallbert's current distribution of Non-food Warehouse and Food Warehouse.
Non Food / Food Warehouse
Arizona 4 / 3
Californna 4 / 2
Colorado 2 / 1
Idaho 0 / 1
Nevada 2 / 1
New M 4 / 2
Oregon 2 / 1
Utah 1 / 0 "0 Food markets"
Washington 3 / 1
Wyoming 2 / 0
Arizona, might have been better with 2/ 2 or 2 / 1. Or 1 each.
California 3 / 2
New M 2 / 2 or 2 / 1
Washington 2 / 1
+ Maybe if some states would only had some competitor to Wallbert?
There are a bit many non food Wallberts. So some of those could be taken by some competitor. Not Farmer's Barn, but something else.
For Food warehouses, I would say only AZ has 3 and could have been good with 2 or 1. Giving a competitor the 2nd.
For Texas, in numbers, it could have in total quite a lot non food Walberts, food W's + non food warehouses and food warehouses.
But I do hope there would be competitors too. For the non food and food parts. including warehouses for non food and food.
California has as right now, 1 Farmer's Barn Factory, but zero Markets. Maybe some of non food wallbert markets will change?
But for its size, it has bettter ratio than Colorado, Oregon, Utah. as an example.
Texas. Wallberts. In my opinion it would be fine if it had for example.
7-10 Non-food Market 7-10 Food Market 2-4 Non-food Warehouse 2-4 Food Warehouse
Competitor 1 "if both food markets and non food. If only 1 of those, then C1 split into C1 and C3"
5-7 Non-food Market 5-7 Food Market 1-3 Non-food Warehouse 1-3 Food Warehouse
Competitor 2 "if both food markets and non food. If only 1 of those, then C2 split into C2 and C4"
