....and South Texas. Yes I'd imagine it comes before Oklahoma releases. They can easily come on the compatibility update for Oklahoma too which is still technically before Oklahoma. So if they already have stuff in the editor, perhaps 3-6 months would do it so it. We still haven't seen phase 3 California yet either and it was said to mostly be done. I bet they decided that since there is no time crunch, they'd just let the rebuild team that worked phase 3 go back to it now that Texas and Montana is out........instead of the 3 that stayed on the rebuild team working it. Sooooo we could easily see a Phase 3/Phase 4 combo effort.

1.47 and 1.48 could be pretty interesting updates map wise for ATS.

Also, when I go to load a save game (mostly quick save), the game seems to freeze up for 30-60 before it actually starts to load the save. The first few times I thought the game crashed and I tried to close it down with task manager but couldn't even get that to open.
Yeah, also that long time for some loading. Not all the times, just sometimes. Very few mods and I know exactly what's inside them.
I have since checked with all mods disabled and I still have the same problems. I've timed it and it freezes for about 30 seconds after clicking the load button before it actually starts loading. And at least the "content change detected" thing doesn't send your truck back to HQ and reset your economy like a game update does.

^ yes, I’ve reproduced on new profile this apparent UI freeze (updates the navcache) on selecting Load Game followed by the navigation change detected (which updates navcache again). Reported in the bugs on this thread showing it only happens with Texas DLC installed.

A workaround is to edit config.cfg and change line

Code: Select all

g_global_force_load_selector “1”

Instead of using Load Game, use exit to launchpad and on profile select continue game to pick the desired save-game from selector. (edited to add workaround and for clarity)

After driving in south Texas, I would not be surprised if SCS might add a road going east, of Laredo.
Or atleast finish the southern part of TX-20 Loop there?

Also anyone notice up in the North part Panhandle TX

On I-40 between Amarillo and TX/OK State Line there a GAPS

they could extended I-40/US 287 Interchange to the East of US 83 interchange in shamrock

they could connect Downtown Amarillo US-87/287 to US 60 East to US 83

make a new US HWY 83/US 60 intersection/interchange

RUN US 83 South to I-40 interchange

then connect to US 287 Children that would make perfect sence too

Some of those areas might come, closer to the Oklahoma release.

Jacob94, Neches River, seen just outside the driveable area, east of I-10 Exit 856. It is where Orange is, on the ingame editor map.

I just noticed this wall before entering Galveston. Look at the little bushes and grass which are growing out of it. This just shows how much effort SCS puts into their work. Incredible with the details.

^Yeah I been noticing this since the Wyoming or Colorado dlc. I can't remember exactly which one but its off I-25. I too think its a very nice and realistic detail. As long as its not over done, it can happens.

^ More realistic details can be observed during the construction of roads from SCS. and this is very important to me.
From the very beginning, SCS has been building roads that are constantly looping. like a snake. left to right, left to right, up and down, up and down. in ETS2\ATS.

Now the roads look very realistic. for example, drive along I-40 and compare it in New Mexico in 2017 and Texas in 2022. in Texas, it is more direct, stretching into the distance. just like in real life. Somehow, SCS has learned to overcome the limitations of the scale and distance of rendering the graphics engine. and it's very cool.

just try taking a trip from Gallup (NM) to Amarillo (TX) and you'll see what I mean (if you start from Kingman (AZ), the difference will be even more noticeable).
If Texas started building from 2013 as a base game by 2016, then it would look completely different) than what we got now. I don't even doubt it ).
