LATrucker, well done!
That has to be it!
No Beaumont would have been very odd :)

I had no doubt about Beaumont. That is a big miss. That city has to be marked. From Houston to Lake Charles without any deliverable depots would be too long of a drive in my opinion. Great job though @LATrucker finding that location. That definitely looks like the location. The best part is........that confirms US-96 making Texas as the Eastern most North to South road. If we can get from Beaumont, I-10 to I-20, that is a nice back road connection. US-96 has to terminate somewhere. Being in the woods, there are lots of options to pull this off considering tree walls can 1) add density for several roads and 2) faster mapping than wide open terrain. So for me, I'm more excited that we can get this close to the Texas border.

Beaumont is almost the mid point from Houston to Lake Charles. I fully expect Lake Charles to make the game. For people that like back roads, this is another win for us with US-96. We know we'll get logging in that area but lets hope we get more than just that. There's a whole different vibe over in East Texas.

Tenaha, I would say would be the northern US-96 terminus. But is it scenery or deliverable, that is the question.
Or could it be an offshoot from Longview, if that place marked?
Then US-59 to Texarkana

Tenaha is good with me. However they connect both I-20 to
I-10 in East Texas is good with me. It will be interesting to see how dense East Texas can be. I really wish SCS tells us the road miles for Texas in the summary blog when Texas is about to release. They stopped doing it with Utah for some reason.

Texas is a butt load of work and appreciation to that work can come in being able to compare Texas all the paid maps. Texas at the least should double the current highest road miles dlc revealed which is Oregon iirc. It has 5,000 miles of roads. Iirc, Oregon fits into Texas 2.5 times. Sure not all areas in Texas will get mapped, but there's a lot of roads that could stretch to almost every corner of Texas.

I'd be the kind of guy ruin announcing road millage, for every state. It'd be "With over one mile of road to drive on" so that every other mile seems like a huge bonus.

Depends on how road miles are counted. Lane, road section, road/interstate, etc

@Jacob94 I really hope it doesn't release in august. That would mean a rushed product. I say wait for DX12, push draw distances and LOD to the next level before you finish Texas, SCS. I don't want to see them ugly popins over the plains. If that means early 2023, so be it. Tons of mods to see us through.

August is too early. At best November or December if it makes 2022. Otherwise, Q1 or Q2 of 2023. Something I have said for the past year or so, is that Texas cannot be rushed. We will get Montana this year no doubt so if we only get 1 state again this year, we know why. I am betting 1.45 for Montana though. That could be anywhere from July to September.
