Very fitting that this blog should release today! I tried our new local Whataburger for the first time and ate it while reading the blog. Jalapeno cheeseburger... not bad at all.

Glad to see a lot of new stuff for El Paso. I haven't been there in years, but the blog photos look very realistic. I was wondering if they would include Bible Mountain or much of Ciudad Juarez and they certainly have. This is the biggest view of Mexico we've seen so far.

The X is la X
And the watertover? belongs to Haskell Street Wastewater Plant

Now I suspect that I-110, might just be scenery?

I hope SCS doesn't miss these twin oil refineries and this copper refinery. Pretty big and important industries. I hope we get a new prefab for the copper refinery too.

Question: Why did SCS make I-10 only 4 lanes in total? Its 6 IRL. Can't the game handle 3 lanes on each side? I am sure I have seen 6 or even 8 in Reforma. So why SCS only makes 4 lanes when it should be 6?

I understand we don't see 10 lane highways in ATS due to performance and traffic, but why are SCS insisting on not even making 6 lanes? I am pretty sure the game can handle 6 lanes...and the two lanes on each side look so wide it almost looks like they could fit a 6 laner there without issue. Why do they not make 6 lanes, when they can and have in the past? Why not make three realistically thin lanes on each side instead of 2 superwide on each side?

@Quaristice You may have to get on this as soon as Texas drops lol.

There is such a thing as scale.
There is such a thing as employee resources.
There is such a thing as deadlines.
There is such a thing as product quality.

Scale I can understand. But all the other things have nothing to do with 4 vs 6 lanes.

It's rare but for once, I'm going to grumble and I'm going to say that I've had enough of the blog that brings us nothing more than repeated announcements about Texas and Montana.
Personally, I would have preferred to have an exit announcement, there it gives me the impression that we are being distributed images and empty content to keep us waiting

@Seerman What on earth do these things have to do with 4 vs 6 lanes? The game already has 6 lanes in places, the scale can handle it, they even did it in the New Mexico DLC in ABQ as well as in other places. Why would they not be able to use the 6 lane road prefab they have used before? What a strange comment of yours. I am sure they have enough employees to choose a 6 lane prefab lol. And how would it affect quality? If anything, 4 lanes is worse product quality, since real life is 6..

Personally I think 4 lanes is good enough; 6 lanes would imply a 1:1 scale version of that part of the town.
