Doing all of Texas in the same time as we got for Wyoming for example would be very frustrating, and force people to explore the new DLC at a high pace.
They will likely be carried out like Cruising Iberia did, deliver loads to 20 unique cities, and of a longer duration, and mind you that as usual, Cruising events are bound to be extended eventually, and Cruising Iberia did get an extension too.

4-6 months? I hope that's sarcasm. 3 months tops. We get 2+1 in most cases. I agree with @TheAmir259. Texas will follow Iberia I bet. We definitely won't have to discover every city either. But I wish if every city could be a bonus. I'm still going with 30-35 cities. If we only need 20 to complete the event, perhaps that last 10-15 remaining cities could be bonus. There should be a bonus for over achievers. There are always people that go overboard and they are never rewarded. Why not reward them by promoting that higher tier as bonus. Complete 20 get your hanging decor. Complete all cities and get your hanging decor and maybe a paint skin.

I definitely don't want to rush the event myself. I only like to discover 2-3 cities a weekend. I like driving the same roads over and over for a week to make delivers to appreciate to work more. But I also don't stay in the dlc. I take loads in and out of the dlc to still give attention to the previous maps. Each trip, I see something I didn't notice before in dlc's which is why I travel the same roads over and over until its time to move on the following weekend. This works great for me with 10-14 city dlc's. Texas would need more time but 5-6 months won't happen. We might get lucky and get 3+1 extended. But beyond that, I don't think its necessary even for Texas.

It is also to be noted that if it ever were to be 4-6 months, you would also be conflicted with a Cruising Montana event. While one could think of a new way such as doing deliveries between Texas and Montana, it is not an ordinary thought or method. Having both Cruising Montana and Cruising Texas run together or overlapping will definitely induce pressure on a lot of the community, and this will backfire on SCS, possibly not meeting the community goals and having to extend them for longer.

Tl;dr, if possible, Cruising Texas shouldn't overlap with Cruising Montana, is my suggestion. But I myself am not opposed to having either Texas & Montana released back-to-back, with a ~2-3 month gap between them.

Considering we'd have at least 3 months in between each dlc, it wouldn't be too bad if they overlap. Most of this community likes longer trips. So actually Montana to Texas would be perfect for people that like longer trips. Which ever comes first, that dlc would more than likely get a lot more % discovered. So that leave a small % left and then a 100% untouched map to discover.

Will we get with the arrival of Texas US-54, US-412 and US-87, which start in New Mexico?

Doubt about 54, but one of 412 or 87 could be in, especially if 385 is not included. There should be some shortcuts for Wyoming, Colorado and Montana to Texas in the absence of Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota.

I don’t think we will get both US-87 and US-412, they are too close to each other.
87 is possible, but they need to rework the entire southern entrance to Raton for it. 412 might be easier as there is plenty of space on the I-25 for another exit.
54 requires some changes to Tucumcari, but is possible. I think it’s more likely to make an appearance with Oklahoma though, and then only from Dalhart headed northeast.

54 is a must to get into Guymon and Liberal. That corridor along with Amarillo is livestock heaven. I wouldn't rule it out. Its also another NM connection.

I don't really plan my first trip through new DLCs either, but one of the first cities I want to visit is somewhere at the Gulf coast. Maybe it'll be Corpus Christi or Galveston... I want to see some of the palms and beaches

US-54 would also be nice to have between El Paso and Carrizozo, NM. They could get by with just I-10/I-25 north out of El Paso, but alternate routes are always nice, especially if you play with detours.
