Some more ideas

class 9 Misc. cargo including but not limited to:

Molten aluminum (might require a whole new industry with metal foundries), asbestos, benzaldehyde, nickel-metal batteries, lithium ion batteries, capacitors, dry ice (frozen CO2).

I have an idea for the flammable liquid tanker that was added in 1.45, what about jet fuel, often referred to in Hazmat literature as aviation turbine fuel? The UN number for that as far as I know is 1863. I have seen tanker trucks carrying jet fuel in real life while passing a few on the freeway on a few occasions. I’ve also occasionally seen ones placarded with UN 1993, which is “Flammable liquid, not otherwise specified”. Just trying to throw ideas at a wall until something sticks.

I know this is a subcategory of gasoline, but what about UN 3475, which is gasoline with more than 10% ethanol added to it (so 1203 which we already have would be < 10% ethanol), such as the racing-grade fuel that NASCAR uses which has 15% ethanol?

I would be all good with ADR/HazMat Class 7, especially UN 3331 and 2919 ☢

At the rate you're going, they're going to have to invent a whole new game, Hazmat Trucking Simulator lol.

I wonder if that can be done with a mod? Replace all the existing industries/cargo in game with chemical companies and hazardous cargo. Then have a suicide mode, where if you have a bad enough accident you die and have to start your profile over. Batman Arkham Origins had a suicide mode, where you had to complete the entire game without dying or you had to start all over. That certainly made the game more interesting haha.
Minecraft has a suicide mode but they call it hardcore, if you die in a hardcore world, it gets deleted iirc.

Just found this thread when I arrived to write about the same subject :D

I also have one of the same kind but dedicated to ETS2: viewtopic.php?t=311420

Anyway, I think it's safe to say that this type of industry/market is vastly overlooked and unexplored on ATS...

Here's some more cargos to the list:

Cargo name - UN number (Hazmat Label)

Carbon Dioxide 1013 (2.2)
Cyclopropane 1027 (2.1)
Cyanogen 1026 (2.1+2.3)
Ethylamine 1036 (2.1)
Isobutane 1969 (2.1)
Nitrous Oxide 1070 (2.2+5.1)
Propylene 1077 (2.1)
Acetone 1090 (3)
Benzene 1114 (3)
Hexanes 1208 (3)
N.O.S Flammable Liquid 1993 (3)
Kerosene 1223 (3)
Methanol 1230 (3+6.1)
Octanes 1262 (3)
Turpentine 1299 (3)
Strike Anywhere Matches 1331 (4.1)
Sulphur 1350 (4.1)
Barium 1400 (4.3)
Hydrogen Cyanide 3294 (6.1+3)
Aniline 1547 (6.1)
Isopropylacetate 1220 (3)
Isopropanol 1219 (3)
Nitromethane 1261 (3)

Even more hazmat cargo ideas, sticking to the UN number (Hazmat label) system:
  • Paint related material including paint thinning, drying, removing, or reducing compound 1263 (3)
    Oxygen, compressed 1072 (2 + 5.1)
    Nitrogen, compressed 1066 (2)
    Ammonia, anhydrous 1005 (2 + 8)
    Flammable liquids, corrosive, n.o.s. 2924 (3 + 8)
    Petroleum distillates, n.o.s. or Petroleum products, n.o.s. 1268 (3)
    Ferrocerium 1323 (4.1)
Cerium, turnings or gritty powder 3078 (4.3)
    Aluminum nitrate 1438 (5.1)
    Chlorine 1007 (2 + 5.1 + 8)
    Ammonium perchlorate 0402 (1.1D)
    Cartridges, oil well 0227 (1.3C)
    Bombs, photo-flash 0299 (1.3G)
Ammunition, toxic with burster, expelling charge, or propelling charge 0021 (1.3K)
    Boosters with detonator 0268 (1.2B)
    Boosters, without detonator 0283 (1.2D)
    Aluminum powder, coated 1309 (4.1)
    Desensitized explosive, solid, N.O.S. 3380 (4.1)
    Environmentally hazardous substance, liquid, N.O.S. 3082 (9)
    Environmentally hazardous substance, solid, n.o.s 3077 (9)
Capacitor, asymmetric with an energy storage capacity greater than 0.3 Wh 3508 (9)
Capacitor, electric double layer with an energy storage capacity greater than 0.3 Wh 3499 (9)
    Acrylic acid, stabilized 2218 (3 + 8)
Batteries, wet, filled with acid, electric storage 2794 (8)
Batteries, wet, filled with alkali, electric storage 2795 (8)
    Corrosive liquids, flammable, N.O.S. 2920 (3 + 8)
    Corrosive liquids, oxidizing, N.O.S. 3093 (8 + 5.1)
    Corrosive liquids, toxic, N.O.S. 2922 (8 + 6)
    Acetaldehyde 1089 (3)
    Acetone 1090 (3)
    Alcoholic beverages 3065 (3)
Petroleum gases, liquefied or Liquefied petroleum gas 1075 (3)
Allyl alcohol 1098 (3 + 6) (NOT the same as methanol even though they’re both flammable and toxic)
    Methallyl alcohol 2614 (3)
    Chloroform 1888 (6)
Sorry for the ridiculously long list, I have so many different ideas but it’s hard to pick just one. For the ones that fall under multiple hazmat classes, an easy way to implement that would be to require both the respective skills otherwise you can’t transport it (so to be able to haul something like corrosive liquids, flammable, N.O.S, you would need both the flammable gas and corrosive cargo skills unlocked at the same time).

I'm really hoping some of the cargos listed here will eventually come with Texas release, considering we've gotten a Oil Fields and Chemical Plants blog dedicated for it... It would be a huge miss to overlook this industry.
