Colville WA-20 to "Newport" and US-2 to Sandpoint? I hope to see that road with Montana.

US-2 from Spokane to Sandpoint?
They could maybe? maybe? do it with cutplanes. Maybe?
Things are very close to each other there. US-2 to Steeler

Well even SR-20 needs some landscape redesigning west of Sandpoint especially the timber harvesting site and its surrounding scenery which took so much space.

Fra_ba, that is an excellent place for cutplanes.
I don't think that the timber harvesting site would be any problem.

As long as we can get from Sandpoint to Coleville without going to I-90, I am good. Less of a hassle going WA-20 though. Of US-2 can come to Spokane cool. If we can get both route connections even better. SCS can manipulate curved roads much easier to snake it thru. It's more work yes, but its a necessary connection.

That's route is like Yellowstone with no connection to the East. Biggest difference is that route is 100% legit. No national park controversy.

Why isn't Montana Steam site in this discussion thread like other map DLCs in their discussion threads? I noticed it a long time ago but only now did it occur to me to ask

Shiva. Yup cut planes seems to be another solution. Regarding Montana, I wish we have dedicated blog on mountain passes. There are some notable ones and I'm curious about Lookout pass. There seems to be lack of space east of CDA. Maybe some exaggerations like the ones around Shasta Mt. in CA rebuilding could work.

East of CDA, hopefully SCS exaggerates the curves a bit to get more road in prior to hitting the border and then more curvy roads on the way into Missoula. Taking a bit of a Reforma approach would be ideal. Now it is an interstate so we don't want to be swinging curves left and right. But just enough would work.

Oh, no no no no no! Please no! Please SCS, do not make I-90 the way that I-84 is in Oregon! I-84 between Cabbage Hill and Baker City in ATS is way too curvy, and the curves are so sharp that it's difficult to even maintain 50 MPH. Meanwhile, trucks can go 65 MPH on that stretch of road with no problem. I-90 will be a nice alternative to get to the Pacific Northwest, which will be nice for avoiding that horrible stretch of I-84. IRL, the curves on I-90 are sharper than I-84. They have an advisory speed of 45 MPH. Just make the curves the way they are IRL so that we can actually do that speed. No need to make them tighter or more exaggerated. Otherwise, we'll be stuck crawling at something ridiculous like 25 MPH just keep the truck upright in the curves.

The real life I-84 has curves and so does real life I-90. I-90 is loaded with even more. SCS can't make I-90 any less curvy than real life and expect the same the same amount of time to pass. Oregon was also not a great dlc in regards to banking roads. It was only the second paid dlc. The more recent roads are much better. I don't have too much of an issue with curvy roads in the newer dlc's. I also don't drive much faster than 60-65 mph. Drive to the conditions of the road. Not the max limit.

SCS exaggerated I-84 yes but we can't have a short segment connecting Pendleton to Ontario. That would be a very very unrealistically short trip. A distance of 167 miles in real life needs to feel like something in the game.

Real life I-90. This is even more curvy and pretty much the same distance at 165 miles from CDA to Missoula. We need about the same amount of time to pass just as we have in place for I-84. You might just wanna stay off I-90 then :D. The biggest difference between the two is I-84 has larger less curvy roads. I-90 has frequent small curves. But they can't make a straighter road with I-90 as it seems you want. That's making the road all about you Sir and SCS can't cater to what you don't want. Its better to have some time of realistic vibe for that segment rather than an unrealistic straight segment.
