That was ETS2 and way bak in 2015/2016. In NA old models don't just vanish off the roads. Shouldn't happen in ATS either.

there is no difference to the US, if Peterbilt stopped the production of the old one you wont transport them either, SCS just prematurely changed the cargo to the new one even though the old one was still build for 2 or 3 more years

I might be misunderstanding your post but he was referring to the trailer load of 579 (from the factory) being replaced with NG 579 when/if they also become AI, not replacing the old 579 AI traffic.

@Vk56dehan Ahhh, you're right. My fault. I read it wrong. I didn't notice the "trailer" part. I was only thinking Scania truck itself.

I do wish they could have changed the dealership prefabs. All other dealerships are trailer friendly except for this one, more specifically the repair area.

Yeah I did a sketch awhile back that makes more sense. It would be nice to open it up more and be more functional.

Out of curiosity, how accurate are the in-game truck dealer prefabs compared to real truck dealerships? Do Volvo and Mack really use the same design like that? And do Kenworth and Peterbilt dealerships really look like that irl?

I feel like the Paccar prefabs could really use an overall update, but idk if that would make sense or not.

Some of them do look like that, though it varies significantly overall. SCS should have gone with a modular approach for dealerships too. Have 2-3 prefabs per brand and sprinkle them across the map.

I would suggest SCS rework the whole dealership aspect from the ground up. The dealership locations need revisiting. Peterbilt dominates the dealerships—almost no Freightliner dealerships in the Pacific. Eventually, multiple dealerships per city should also become a thing.

^Ditto on everything. 2-3 versions of each dealership will definitely be less repetitive. Mack and Volvo often share the same facility but the designs vary. There is not really a prototype I bet for any of the dealerships because truck dealership are independent chains that sell for a particular brand. Peterbilt and Kenworth typically operate solo, Freightliner is normally linked with Western on the same lot, International is the only one to not have multiple lines obviously.

But I’d welcome a change to dealerships. They have pretty much gone unchanged physically since day one. Now that all brands are in, it could be worth putting some effort into them. Instead of hitting the icon outside, how about a full pull thru just like we can with our garages. We should be able to loop around to the back instead of jackknifing or reversing out of the dealerships.

I think at 1:20 it's OK to have one dealer per city that has them, but the really big cities should get 2 dealers. Maybe roughly the top 30 metropolitan areas. Or when it fits, the largest city in a state. So Boise, Cheyenne, Billings, etc could get 2 dealers too.

I'd also like to see Freighliner and Western Star, and Mack and Volvo, share dealerships too. It'd be a bit more realistic.
