Waiting for new trucks is pointless. Because non of them are coming any time soon.

And believing that "new truck will come any day now", will get you nothing but emotional exhaustion, after nothing will happen for months.

Yeah, you just never know in advance with truck releases. A new truck could come in a week, it could also come in two months.
To me personally it's always just a nice and happy surprise when it does happen, but I don't actively wait for it.

I'm wondering if we might get some Peterbilt stuff around the corner, since we got the missing customization of the T680NG.
I'm just bothered so much by the lack of ongoing news about trucks. We get so much news about map extensions, and nothing about trucks... I understand the licensing chains doesn't allow SCS to say much, but at least they could maybe talk about advancement? 'how' it is going? some pics like during the Christmas stream idk... Why would anything about trucks should be top secret anyway? The models are currently available IRL, there's nothing to hide. I don't care about release date if they share more news... Exactly like the map extensions. Having news regularly keeps interest live, while ignorance kills it. Just my opinion tho.
I think just the fact that they added tuning to the T680NG may be an indirect sign that something is being done on the Peterbilt as well. Hopefully they just can't officially announce it yet, but the process is underway.
"they added tuning to the T680NG..."

What are you talking about?

The photos they showed in December of the 579NG show many real factory options available, which is good news, nothing like what they did to the T680NG has anything to do with the development of the 579NG.

I don't care if any new truck come in months from now. I don't care about realise date or release window.
I just want news about the trucks they have announced back in Christmas stream. Exactly like they do about map extensions. We don't need release dates.
When I get news I might be impatient, but it's positive impatience. I won't be bothered about it and surely won't complain about it.
But if there's no news for months, it's negative impatience. I'm getting annoyed, disapointed. I know trucks are coming sooner or later, but it's just very annoying to be kept in fog for a long time.
And I still don't understand why they communicate so rarely about trucks, especially after they announced them officialy already. It just doesn't make sense to me. I don't want weekly updates like map extensions. But at least, idk, monthly maybe?
Whatever, even one news every 3 months would be acceptable. Maybe they don't care because it's free content? so every players will get them anyway lol so why feeding any interest to that xD
Also there's something between any day and months away... Also most of the time, trucks are realised without notice anyway, because of the lack of communication lol We so don't know anything, it always happen by surprise, kinda. It's hard to expect something when nothing is said about it, right?

Mostly because too many members of the community get impatient and want it tomorrow.
Just because it's announced doesn't mean SCS have any idea on when it will be ready.

And if they do update monthly and the update is, 'No real progress' would that help?

And the last time they communicated progress, the community was harsh and impatient. Nobody wants any more of that.

Monthly updates..........they probably don't have enough progress worth showing monthly. I'd be cool with every 6 months though. All I really care about is that a truck was announced. It can take 1 year to release or 2+. There can always be a hang up that we won't know about so we just have to think............it comes when it comes. Things are sooooo much better variety wise since 2018. Truck traffic is awesome now. So patience is worth the wait imho.
