Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
The t680e is only day cab and the trucks in ATS are focused for long haul and the t680e is electric and electric trucks don't go long so it's only a local truck or city truck

Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
If SCS every adds electric trucks, it will be interesting to see how they implement it. Wear will the charging stations be. How accurate will the charges be. I don't do long haul anymore due to ATS's map size so Electric could be somewhat okay to try. I doubt I'd like it though. I like my engines roaring like a lion. Not purring like a kitten.
Too bad the the new T680e didn't get the 49X treatment. But I keep my vote the same with the edition of this new e truck. I support the cause in ATS but real life, we'll see.

@leo.arevalo12ss The Western Star 49X isn't an over the road truck either, but it's in ATS, and it only comes in day cab configuration at the moment. It seems that ATS is actually more about class 8 trucks as a whole, and not necessarily over the road trucks in a long haul application.

Oh I see now but it would be interesting because we've never had electric trucks in ATS and it would be interesting to see how it would go

Man I sure wish they would add the W990.. that ought to be the new flagship for KW... i sure wish i understood how SCS licenses out trucks.. i mean it's a bummer it's limited to one rig at a time but i mean? KW AND Pete are the only companies with duel choices.. surely they will get new ones?

I love the W9 but if I had to pick another Kenworth it would be the 660. It has that more sleek modern look but still has the sweet-looking studio sleeper. I like the 680 but it's just hard to beat the sleeper. The W990 would be a nice addition too. But I would probably just keep my W9 since they are so similar.

Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
Most definitely they will get new trucks. But I think SCS is doing it right. I've always said each brand should bring at least 2 models before trying to introduce 3 and 4 of an existing brand. But that's just my personal opinion. That doesn't mean that's what SCS will do. But Paccar trucks should wait til all others are in ATS and have 2 models as well. That is a total of 14 trucks. That is one heck of a roster imho. Goinghaving 4 trucks from 2016 to 2018 was bad. SCS is now trying to not only get all 7 brands in, but also provide as many modern trucks as they can.
With that in mind, remember that it takes (3) people about 1 year to make a full complete truck. It use to be worse. It took (1) person almost 2 years to make (1) truck. The more trucks they are doing at once, the more resources it takes. So that takes away from other projects. Until they can hire more people and still be profitable, we'll just have to be patient and wait til time permits other project to take shape. I think the W990 will make the roster eventually but it will take a minute. I think the LT, new Cascadia, new VNL, Pinnacle, 5700 and 122SD should come first. Whate ever else comes is a plus. The old Cascadia, 9900I, 567, T880, T800 and the W990 are on the end of the list perhaps.

Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
For SCS to drop the 49X the same time the manufacture reveals it.. is a huge deal in my opinion i mean SCS CAN do it in a quick fashion but yeah I'm sure it will just wish for a bit faster I'm unfortunately impatient and sometimes i am Course i prefer Peterbilt 389s.. so i'm far happier in those.. but a tiny bit of variety is nice!

Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
The new cascadia is coming and maybe the classic cascadia as a longshot arrival but all we know is that we will have 7 North American truck brands once Freightliner comes but kenworth could get the w990 however before they do that, they should rework the t680 as it's been in the game since 2016 so I would wait for a rework of kenworth before we get new kenworth trucks
