Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
I voted for W990, T800 and C500. I'm certain if they all get release it is going to be in that particular order, but T880 might come before T800 and most probably ahead of C500. I'm aware that C500 is not on the road truck so possibility for it to be released are low unfortunately. But I had to vote for it 'cause it looks powerful and awesome. Especially the variant with 2 front axles. Same could be said about WS 6900.

I don't think we will see C500 in game.

I don't think we will either, but the hope still remains that it may come someday. If not, there will be mods I guess.

Just got a T680, gonna drive that for a little bit. Looks like there's no digital speedometer, yikes! Hard to read the analog gauge at a glance, so this is going to be interesting...

Lemme give you good 2 tips that'll help you a lot on this truck.
1) use interior camera zoom which makes you read everything easily
2) when you use cruise control, you'll find your speed on the dash board.

Thanks for that. Visibility isn't as good as I thought it would be in general so I'll probably adjust the seat a little bit anyway. Thanks for the tip about the cruise control speed.

By the way, I guess I don't quite understand what you meant by this. I guess it's unrelated to the seat adjustment? Doesn't seem like there's any real way I can make the gauges more readable...Freeze338 wrote: 24 Nov 2020 21:50 1) use interior camera zoom which makes you read everything easily

By default there is no key mapped to it, but if you go into the settings where you change your keystrokes, there's an option that allows you to set a key to zoom the interior camera. This option allows you to "lean" forward to read the dashboard better. It's also useful if you want to read a distant road sign or perhaps get a better look at an object in one of your mirrors.
For example, zooming in on the instrument panel looks like this:

Here's where you can find the option to enable this:

Huh. Didn't notice that setting before. Well, I'm gonna be away for a few days, but I'll give it a shot. Reassigned my left thumb stick (since I play with a controller) to do that. Left thumb stick was set to cycle through the virtual mirrors, but, I don't really use them any more. I do a lot of switching between outside of the truck and snapping back to the interior.
Not sure how practical this zoom function will be when I'm in the middle of driving, but hey, maybe I'll get used to it.

I picked the T880, ideally I want all of the trucks but lets not get greedy! T880 looks cool!
I like all the trucks tho.
