Nice to see this being added to the lineup. I continue to hope we get a cab air suspension and/or sleeper access at some point.

Do you think we will get all 4 cabins (300, 400, 740, 760 and 860)?

I believe because they are working in collaboration with Volvo, we have chances to receive all four. And I also hope that we receive the 25 years special paint job.

One thing for sure is that Volvo just broke up the Daimler and International show. Finally the truth is revealed although we knew about SCS visiting Volvo in the US. No telling how the process went over months and months. So SCS saying SCS chocked is a very very unfair statement. The process of negotiating is not done over night. Thank you @Oscar for your efforts.

Bottom line, we will finally get it. Better late than never so who cares when it comes. We know its coming. I know many people have been waiting for it and now chapter 2 of the VNL saga. Now we have to hear.....when is it releasing, how much longer. Anticipate 365 days from now. If sooner, great but keep expectations low for delivery.

The last most common truck on US roads thag is still produced is now in production. We'll get it eventually.

Volvo didn't actually break the Daimler/International show... All we got was a blog showing the visit, not even a preview of the work, no nothing.

I hate to say and admit it but I HIGHLY doubt we'll see the VNL in the next 12 months, we all know how slow SCS usually is when it comes to anything related to vehicles and even though some might say the "Very Early..." text was put there to hold back the crowd's excitment, my gut feeling tells me otherwise (But still respect those that do)... Because out of all the blog posts SCS used the "Very Early..." text so far, none of them released yet.

We could: the Cascadia has almost all of them I think?

This is what is frustrating about the W9 and 389. We only got one W9 sleeper and two 389s. I wish they had added those later so we could have gotten more variety. Oh well.

To be fair, the 49X and Cascadia were mandatory to fill out the big seven brands, the LT was a pretty obvious addition between its real-world frequency and the ease of adding it, and they weren't exactly in a position to turn down the 57X cross-promotion. The only "extraneous" truck in the alleged "Daimler/International show" was the 9900i, and I'm not going to criticize that one when it being in the game at all feels like a freaking miracle. And I didn't exactly see a whole lot of people complaining about the possibility of getting the 4900, 5700, Old Cascadia, or 122SD.

And ultimately everything comes down to licensing anyway. If you're in a position where Volvo/Paccar/Daimler aren't giving you anything on your terms, the ProStar and the HX suddenly look a lot more attractive. It'd be nice if every brand could get at least two trucks (and at least one high-quality model), but you need to play the cards you're dealt, and we have no way of conclusively knowing SCS's hand. For all we know, the reason we have three Internationals could be as simple as "International was the third* brand to agree to cooperate, and they got as many as they could because there was no guarantee they'd ever have access to the other four brands." - leaving them with an "old debt" to settle, if you will, once they actually did.

All that said, it's great that they finally got around to the VNL - it's probably been the most obvious omission since the LT was added. It should hopefully make truck speculation less boring too since there are a lot of directions you can go now - giving Peterbilt/Kenworth high-quality models, giving Freightliner/Mack second models, getting something else out of the Volvo partnership, manifesting something from the ancient Western Star dealings... or, indeed, settling for International if that's what they have.
