AFAIK only with Volvo i-Shift

Eaton use different gear selectors, for Peterbilt, Kenworth and International they use the Eaton column gear selector as standard, for Freightliner and Western Star they use the Detroit-style gear selector with Eaton transmissions, with other type of gear selectors available as options, but for Volvo I think they use the pushbutton unit from eaton :

Note that there is a lever selector available, but that one is usually more popular on PACCAR trucks :

In any case, I have to say : I somewhat hoped that for the VNL, they would keep the i-shift lever instead of the pushbutton style for the in-game model (it's still available IRL), but can't have everything I guess, I really like that lever

the lever is the bane of existence for some drivers in Europe because it prevents you from opening the drawers in the FH completely

problem wouldnt exist in the VNL for obvious reasons

Funny thing is that it's not even the same pushbutton module between the FH and the VNL, the FH use same buttons on the dashboard as the rest of the buttons, while the VNL(and the Mack one for that regard) use a full self-contained module that goes in one of the radio holes

the FH only has the lever, there is no buttons on dashboard or even behind the steering wheel, and i dont think the FH5 changed this, in this regards the VNL is the FH light years ahead if you can order dashmounted gear selection

Well, since in August 22 this VNL was in early production stage with no W.I.P shots available, while the FH shown in 22 Xmas stream already had W.I.P shots, it wouldn't be a bad guess saying it could potentially come later this summer to early fall.

I know that trucks in game are as some might say "rearranged pixels". But yes the VNL somehow feels great to drive in game, more so than any other model.

Would be nice if SCS would open up about any engineering behind the trucks... Like handling and etc. I did drove the VNL and it did felt a bit more well put together, I don't know how to explain it properly but it wasn't like other trucks where it was just swinging to the side on a curve, it absorbed it better.
