"Soon" from a developer means it's getting closer.
"We are working on it" means it's still not ready

We still don't know if they will release the trucks only after the Interior Materials update, since that's apparently the reason we haven't had any new trucks until now. Maybe this is one of the things of 1.59.

I was 50% sure the all-new VNL was going to be the Illinois cover truck, now i'm 80% sure.

Than I would expect no stuttering in Chicago. The new materials update is thanks to the new technology. If VNL is releasing in 1.59 it will probably be with the suspension animation but without the new materials. That will happen once tge new rendering technology is in place.

Not sure, for the VNL the main reason, AFAIK, was the curved windshield

I don't know if the new Interior Material is related to Multicore. They may be working on this without it necessarily being tied to the Multicore update.

Yes, that was also one of the reasons. But also the new Interior Materials was one of the other reasons.
