Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
The 1660 easily handles a solid 60fps in ATS and ETS2 with the roextended NPI settings + having SSAO set to high and other settings to high or ultra, except mirrors - and that's also using RTA's graphic hungry KW K200. With the fan left on auto the GPU runs at ~72-74C @ ~80% and if I manually set it to 100% it runs at ~65-68C.

Only thing that bugs me about my new PC (running nvidia) and that I picked a card with the worst cooler I've ever had I think. Insane for a card that cost 500€ >_>

Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
This is an important issue for me, as I have switched PCs about 3 times since I started playing ETS and, although the performance in most other games has improved or remained, ETS has dropped dramatically. I can't say anything, after all, my nootebook is terrible, but this drop in game performance is something that bothers me.

Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
guys, I have problem with GPU temp and GPU fans since 1.38. My specs i5-2500k 4.0 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, RX 470 4GB) @ hd ready 720p
Before version 1.38: ultra settings + 400% . GPU had around 60°C, fans were running around 1400 rpm. From 1.38 is temperature around 85°C, Fans RPM at maximum. Game was running smoothly before, but it is running smoothly now. Only change is GPU temp and RPMs.
Now I try other GPU - GTX 1660s and same situation. 85°C and RPM at max. Anyone has problem with same at 1.38?

Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
See my comment above running a 1660 SUPER OC (factory settings); "With the fan left on auto the GPU runs at ~72-74C @ ~80% and if I manually set it to 100% it runs at ~65-68C."
NOTE: Both games are set to roextended NPI settings + having SSAO set to high and other settings to high or ultra, except mirrors
Since then I now set the fan @ 90% (via MSI Afterburner) and ATS and ETS2 both run @ ~60-65C with the occasional rise to ~72C in heavy forest areas only in ATS. In ETS2 the temp rarely goes above ~65C.

Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
These games ran perfectly on my i5 2500k with a RX 580, 390 and 7850... I imagine the game has gotten more demanding with time but to have real performance problems in this game you gotta be on the very low end, a i5 2500k is from 2011... its very old. My system now is a monster so now I'll ofc have no issue, I can run this game at 8k... I've tried.. xD
Has there been issues at times, sure, any game will have issues, but since DX11 update came performance has been stellar.
