Is that by purpose that there are less DT12 transmissions for the 49X than for the Cascadia?

I sometimes lookup von pages like truckpaper to configure a truck and noticed that most 49X have a transmission ratio of 3.08 - but I only can find that ratio for the Cascadia.

@stummer yes and no.

The 49X have access to the HE, V and VX versions, (the HE and V have the same ratios, but are programmed differently and have access to different differential ratio), with the HE and V being available in both overdrive and direct drive, the VX being only available in Overdrive

The Cascadia have access to the H, HL, and HE version, which all have different transmission ratios and are all available in both Direct Drive and Overdrive versions

The V/VX transmissions have a lower first gear ratio

2-12 are as normal, I'm pretty sure

@Jarrad nope, the VX have different ratios, but the HE and V are exact copies of each other mechanically with only the programmations being different between each other, and the differential ratios they have access to (the HE have access to a smaller diff ratios more suitable for linehauling, while the V have accesses to higher ratio more suited for vocational use)

You can see it with the name :

The DT12-OV and DT12-OHE is named internally as the DT12-OC1 by Detroit Diesel

The DT12-DV and DT12-DHE are name internally as the DT12-DC1

and the DT12-OVX is named internally as the DT12-OD1

From Detroit Diesel own documentation :

@galimim is there a way i can remove the retarder part from the transmission.sii files?I want to use your drivetrain mods, but at the same,i only want the engine brake.
I remember you mentionned that the retarder is used as engine brake, but still.I would like to use the default engine brake, and not the retarder.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi, first i wan to say thank galimim for making wonderful powertrain revision mods. As 2022 cascadia is out now, in future will new DD engine and DT12 2020 tranmission be added?

it's a matter of having info on them first. there wasn't a list of ratios for the dt12-v vocational/hd transmission the last time I looked, for example

Well the documentation we found had the lowest ratio and highest ratios possible anymore, but nothing in-between.

Also, concerning engines, we still can't find the list of ratings and the curves for the DD13 Gen5 and DD15 Gen5, but if someone can find those, please send it either to me or Galimim :)

Concerning the transmissions, from what I found, it's still the same DT12 as what we have now (DT12-HL, DT12-H and DT12-HE for the cascadia, and DT12-HE, DT12-V and DT12-VX for the 49X)
