@Kaleidescoop Hmmm. Remodel isn't a bad idea. That also makes hvac ventilation, shelving, storage racks, drywall, metal studs, electrical wiring all valid. If old prefabs remain, come up with a way to spice them up. If their look is a constant, change up functions for them to spark new. I don't have an issue with using old prefabs but making something new about them would be cool.

As of about six weeks ago, the toll plazas were still standing but traffic was detoured along the PikePass (electronic toll) lane.
This, I think is important.
All these 3 tolls going to electric tolling, or 2 of them?

etsuco05, cheers.
The electronic tolling takes less space than the old tolls, I would guess?
I wonder if there is time for the Oklahoma map makers for this? As in, how it will look with the electronic tolls only.
Or might they do as it did look?

What? I didn't know that. I've always used cash on I-44, most recently the one south of OK-5 at Walters. Does Texas Toll Tag work with PikePass? I was in Kansas along its turnpike and the manager said it was valid.

Yes it does now.

I also wonder if SCS will start having us buy toll tags for our trucks for turnpikes like this that no longer take cash, as well as adding penalties for driving on turnpikes without said tags.

Toll tags would be an awesome addition to the game and another thing for the player to spend money on. However, let's be honest, the amount of toll roads represented in ATS is pretty low so such a feature doesn't need to be developed for quite some time. I know this will most definitely change as we make it further east to states that have more extensive toll networks. But Texas has a sizeable network of tollways, express lanes, toll bridges, and turnpikes -- none of which made the DLC. I do wonder what this means for the addition of new toll systems in ATS.

Texas tollways are easily avoidable as there are plenty of alternates routes that get you to the same place. In ATS, tolls in Texas wouldn't be equal to real life Texas. But Oklahoma would be perfect as well as the North/Northeast.

For now, I think the toll tags will be automatically on the truck.
But maybe SCS might change that someday?

Electronic tolling is common in ETS2 and you can usually use either the manual options or straight through using the tag option even though you have never purchased a tag in the game. Sometimes there is no manual option and the tollbooth is simply a gantry above the road. I suspect the same system will be used in ATS. In real life if you usually have to pay either online or at a shop somewhere. Since ETS2/ATS are supposed to be driving simulators I imagine that they have decided to just ignore the tag system entirely. In multiple countries including Austria and the Czech Republic, you actually need a vignette that you can purchase to use the Autobahn. This is another thing that isn't present in ETS2.
