Oklahoma Discussion Thread
Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
Anyone checked instagram or twitter for any clues, where they went?

Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
So I thought I might put this in this thread, but I think it is possible that Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma maybe one DLC, though I could be completely wrong. But this is why I am thinking it this way:
These 3 states are in the heart of Tornado Alley, and well, these 3 states are mostly plains and farms. And if you look at Google Maps, the road layouts in these 3 states are mostly a "grid" layout. Now, as I said, I could be entirely 100% incorrect on this assumption, and I could be incorrect on thinking this, but this is just to my own basic understanding of this area after watching all 4 seasons of Storm Chasers.

Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
I hope those 3 are not one big bundle. That means a much longer wait after Texas. That could be a year wait. I'm cool with Oklahoma solo. We need that for Summer 2023. That would be the Montana team doing that. But Texas once it releases, then split that team (technically they'd still be together if they do both Kansas and Nebraska).
Prior to Montana releasing, Texas could have had 20-25 mappers. I don't think we need 25 mappers for even both Nebraska and Kansas. I'd say 10 per state. That leaves 5 people left over that could go rebuild. Put those 5 on phase 1 Nevada while who ever is doing Phase 3/Phase 4 California still works that. That is 5 parts of the US getting knocked out simultaneously. Phase 1 Nevada would be even more critical due to Wyoming and Nebraska directly. But Montana, Utah, Idaho, Colorado and Kansas all benefit from phase 1 Nevada if it comes before the end of 2023.

Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
Now that we got this new focus that SCS has apparently, I could see Oklahoma being the next release after Texas, then a Nebraska-Kansas bundle, and then a Dakotas bundle.
Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
Dakotas is the tricky part. Will we get that first or will Pavel go with Missouri/Iowa to make that corridor run to Chicago? I like the Dakota more though so that gaps are minimized. Previously, most of us was thinking Florida based on what Pavel wanted which ATS gets built South to North. Now with the Great Lakes in mind, it should flip. Get to the Dakotas and build North to South-ish. Or North to Northeast then South-ish.
B-lining to the coast hopefully is still out the question. Keep the map boxed.

Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
Dakotas will be first, otherwise we'll have a hole in the north and a hole in the south since LA/AR is right below MO/IA.
And after SD/ND then Minnesotta, Iowa and Wisconsin turns into a possibility... Which I'm starting to prefer over Louisiana mainly for the huge truck stop in I-80.
Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
Missouri probably comes before Wisconsin if route 66 is the plan. But yeah after the Dakota's, we very well could be looking at Minnesota.
Oklahoma first though. Oklahoma picks up I-44 from Texas. I'd like to think St. Louis is the goal to get. Then Kansas comes. That too get to St. Louis. So this is why I'd go Missouri after Iowa. That keeps that column of states stacked.

Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
I guess Oklahoma is the next state for sure. I'm not to keen of Pavels idea to go for the Great Lakes. The scenery just looks more and more European and therefore more boring to me.
Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
It's kind of weird how Pavel said they were aiming for Florida first. Now the Great Lakes? Honestly "less exciting" could go for Oklahoma then LouArk.

Only positive I can get out of this is that when the South comes at a later point the quality will be even better.
