Oklahoma Discussion Thread
Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
I think that a strong wind could be realized by simply adding a stronger and more visible swaying trees and grass swaying around.
like it started to rain, only instead of drops everything around starts to sway strongly.
even just trees or bushes swaying strongly nearby would be great.

^Agreed. I think it would be hard to implement for trailer movement to be realistic enough. Vegetation is the best way along with random events such as debris blown around and even traffic light malfunctions. We have an electric company with new utility electric vehicles. I can sense a road works depot for downed powerlines, transformers blown and needs replacements. The same way road works delivers work, we can get electric company works.

Some sideways rain would be a nice start.

I would far prefer the truck and trailer being affected by the wind then for them to focus on just the environment. The latter is window dressing, the former is actually a gameplay feature.

They need both but its easy to do with the environment than physics of a truck and feel legit.

Unfortunately, without bumps in the road still, I don't know if we can ever expect more physics elements in the game. Maybe. We can hope.

On the bright side Iberia has bumps when you transition from road to bridge in some cases so at least someone at SCS has it on their radar.

Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
We need bumpy roads. Montana and especially WB have amazing road textures but the bumps are missing.

Yeah, that should be the standard.oldmanclippy wrote: ↑09 Aug 2022 20:21 On the bright side Iberia has bumps when you transition from road to bridge in some cases so at least someone at SCS has it on their radar.
Iberia has a lot of stuff I'd like to see more commonly used, graffiti being a primary example.
Re: Oklahoma Discussion Thread
I’ve been noticing less-than-pristine towns and areas more and more lately. Butte for example has some good run down areas. Seattle for sure needs a real rough up. It’s a gorgeous city all together but reaaaaaaaally dingy around I-5. Hopefully we’ll get some more detailed, non-sterile cities in Texas.
