If one does not want Iceland in 1:15, then there might be a total redo of UK, to 1:19 or is it 1:20.
Or maybe SCS will have a different trick to make a 1:15 area look like 1:19/1:20.
At the moment, there is a coordinate, just north of Calais ingame. Everything north and west of it, is shown as 1:20 "or is it 1:19", even if it is built as 1:15.

B-Double trailer and short modes: EN 7.82 swap body, 20’ or 30’ containers.
Standalone 40' mode: EN 7.82 swap body, 20', 30', 40' or 2 x 20' trailer.

I agree that if SCS says they have to do UK all in one go, then that's evidence that 1:19 could potentially be in the works. If they were planning to keep 1:15 then piecemeal would be fine.

I like consistency so I'd prefer 1:19 if they're gonna go full remake, but I'm not gonna balk at the idea of getting a larger map for the UK if they keep it at 1:15.

If Austria is received well (based on the screenshots I imagine it will become one of the most popular parts of the map), then I think the only logical next step is Switzerland since they're in mountain mode already. Clear the way for Portugal to Slovenia.

Honestly, then I think German cities might be the next best bet. Pavel has said that that's something they didn't get to with the Germany reworks that is a debt for them now. It'd be a bit jarring to go from completely rebuilt cities in Austria to simply reskinned cities in Germany.

If not German cities, then Benelux or honestly even the base map parts of Czechia and Slovakia.

I think the city rebuilds are done by a different team (person?) than the full map rebuilds. They can go on parallelly to each other.

After reworking Austria, I would like to see a reworking of the UK and also from scratch like Austria

Most probably that would be the scenario. Looking at the first visuals of Austria and California and the subsequent feedback from the community, I don’t think they would take a step back, they simply can’t. UK would be more benefitted from all of this, even Germany while they revisit its cities.

i think after Austria they will do Switzerland, would be most logical and after that Benelux and then UK

It's to be noticed that they talk at some point they were up to 12 people working on California rework. If the memory doesn't fail me; that means almost as many people as in one of regular sized ATS DLC. Even if lots of them were rookies; that's a huge amount of manpower invested in those reworks.

Germany rebuilds I recall to had been done by way smaller teams (and it had sense). So, even if a complete rebuilt is a lot more work, it seems they want to keep at least the same rate of releases in reworked map areas. Could we expect something like Switzerland in one year, Benelux in another (approx); but no idea of the order they will like to follow. And then there's the big elephant int he room that its UK.

It's clear they have increased the bets. But the Christmas event show us one year more how many people doesn't have any (or almost any) map DLC. At the end, those are the ones that fund all those reworks. I suppose the new loading screens (and the data that identifies them) are aimed to make people more willing to acquire map DLC.

Regards
