In non-random places, without rubbing my trailer, I incur damage to my trailer, without causing it myself.

The trailer load, non-inflicting & non-trailer rubbing damage, happens AUTOMATICALLY !

How do I prevent this "non-trailer rubbing" damage, that occurs AUTOMATICALLY from happening?

TECHNICALLY SPEAKING: Any trailer damage that occurs AUTOMATICALLY, but not user inflicted, SHOULD NOT OCCUR, & may result in a game coding flaw.

Is there some other way to prevent it from occurring or to lessen the amount of it ?

If you do not use the game patch, would that fix the issue ?
If a game patch is used, would this be the cause of the "mystery damage" from occurring ?
I AM NOT USING ANY mod's !

your information is sort of useless ...if you post the complete gamelog it could/might be explained... if there's any available for this game what is the changelog telling for the patch ?

Without a gamelog we literally can't suggest you anything.
What trailer do you use? What "specific" load onto it? And in "certain areas", but which? And do you use mods? Is the problem occurring with vanilla content?
