While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: Dorsey 48ft Refrigerator v.2
This is a great trailer, but why does my custom skin 'stretch' when applied in the game?
If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

Show a screenshot of the problem, I'll try to help

@selonik
First image is the custom skin as .dds image out of Photoshop
Second image is that .dds applied to the Dorsey trailer.

Re: Dorsey 48ft Refrigerator v.2
I checked your skin and Yes there is indeed a sprain. I don't know why this is happening yet, maybe it's because of the second channel on the texture. I will check, hope I can fix it. In the meantime, I can advise the drawing on the sides of the trailer to compress a little horizontally in the editor. Then it will be displayed normally.
Re: Dorsey 48ft Refrigerator v.2
@selonik I have experienced this exact issue with other trailers, but it was not resolved.
Thank you for attending to it. I love this trailer.

Re: Dorsey 48ft Refrigerator v.2
I get a lot of orders for mod restoration until next week. I am engaged in restoring tuning and other old mods and my free projects just do not have time. But as soon as the window appears, I will immediately see why there is such a problem, if I can solve it, I will post an update. Thank you for your patience.

Re: Dorsey 48ft Refrigerator v.2
The trailer defs are wrong, the game sees it as a single axle 28' trailer with matching volume and weight capacity.
Here's my modified version of "dorsey48ftv2_by_selonik.scs/def/vehicle/trailer_defs/dorseyf48.single_40.reefer.sii" :
Most of my modifications are educated guesses, but it works, I get loads that weigh what I'd expect in a 48' reefer.
Here's my modified version of "dorsey48ftv2_by_selonik.scs/def/vehicle/trailer_defs/dorseyf48.single_40.reefer.sii" :
Code: Select all
SiiNunit
{
trailer_def : trailer_def.dorseyf48.single_40.reefer
{
gross_trailer_weight_limit: 27215
chassis_mass: 7000
body_mass: 0
length: 14.6304
axles: 2
volume: 96.27728
body_type: refrigerated
chain_type: single
mass_ratio[]: 1
}
}
Re: Dorsey 48ft Refrigerator v.2
