"something big" was never promised. He was talking about the 25th anniversary they had in office.

The only promise was "something special" which is the little event for the 10th anniversary of ETS2.

Even so. Suppose he is not a native English speaker and many of his words have been misinterpreted.

The rest is a fact. Sad fact.

I think "something big" was planned for their 25th anniversary, and it was the event they shared photos from. And the 2020 TGX is probably a 2023 release. I was looking forward to driving it this year, and I still am. They could surprise us with a new depot and a release, but it's less plausible. It appears that no new ETS2 trucks will be released this year.

I'm a tad sad now that the TGX is a possible 2023 release. When I saw the screenshots from the progress blog, I was astonished by the look of the interior, it looked so good.

People are still rambling about this "something big" 🤣🤣🤣

GET OVER IT, it's more than obvious that he meant that party they had some days ago. And I don't know how everyone is acting so surprised that the TGX is a 2023 release... Judging by that blogpost anyone with more than one brain cell could tell SCS was probably not even 3/4 done with the project. If you thought SCS would surprise everyone and just pump it out some days before they leave for holidays, then you clearly set yourself up pretty nicely for a massive disappointment.

Given that all the screens they posted were Maya based not in game, it was a bit of a long shot it would come this year. Not impossible by any means, I wouldn't be surprised if we see it Q1 2023.

Not really, just that a few of them have become 'pretty' unrealistic and illogical with their expectations and that doesn't go along well with our low tolerance levels.

And it's worth pointing out that it's 100% possible that the so called #bestcommunityever forced SCS to make that blog... Because before they posted it, everyday people were asking about it and complaining SCS forgot about it... Here in the forum, on their social media, everywhere.

Also, the shots were pretty much identical to each other with just the angle slightly changing, they only showed the GX cab and the 4x2... This by itself should have given a pretty big hint of how far the progress was.

Yeah if they consider that as 90% done, joke's on them.
Call me a pessimist or something but I think SCS should refrain from posting truck updates unless are ready for release.
