they arent tied to the truck DLCs, so if you deactivate Kenworth or Western Star trucks the factory wont disappear, but this still shouldnt be a problem, if the game doesnt have the map DLC the factory will just not be unlocked, if the DLC is detected > factory is accessibly

The difference is that trucks are in the base game/free DLC, not paid DLC

Because the DLCs are trucks only, on the other hand Krone factory map IS tied to the Krone DLC. They might add Wielton factory, but as a part of Going East DLC, not Wielton DLC.

Or they could add it as part of Wielton DLC. Detecting ownership of the map DLC is any easy thing to do.

I gave that a second thought and there are indeed some map areas that require two DLCs. Still - it makes no sense to add Wielton factory now when rest of the Poland is unreworked and looks like 💩

I wonder if they can add a company to an already existing city with a DLC. Budapest has a Schwarzmüller factory, for example (though technically, it's in a suburb, Dunaharaszti).

they only go for the main factories, Krone > Werlte, Feldbinder > Winsen, they also have some more places they build them but the whole main company is located at these 2 cities/villages, so Schwarmüller would be Freinberg or else we would have 4 factories, because in Germany and Czech Republic is also one

They can. Western Star came later well after Oregon released. Peterbilt will be the same way. Placeholders in place but they change. The biggest issue is resetting the economy for new depots to be accessible. They programming that must be done here. Difficult perhaps but not impossible.

adding new cargos doesnt reset the economy, removing/changing from the economy does, so if they add something nothing will happen and after a while cargo will start to generate
