When I drive XBS' Daf f241, for 2 reasons, it takes me back to my childhood, I remember we went to see one of the Dakar trucks at the local Daf dealer in the 80's and ever since then Daf are of course my fav. truck.
And back then I used to follow the Dakar Rally on TV.
2nd reason is that I drove a Daf 2100 and a 1900 at my first job which was a totally awesome job in the entertainment business, anyhoo his mod is of course a similar design and the interior is just about the same.
So quite often i'm taken back in time and think of all the good (and a few bad times) this truck gave me.

SISL said that this is the first Tuning Pack DLC made in cooperation with the manufacturer. This I believe resume and explains why we don't have the others Renault being covered in this DLC.

55sixxx wrote: 25 May 2022 15:39 Does anybody else get so much nostalgia when driving through a certain part of the map or when they use a certain truck in either ETS2 or ATS?? Or when browsing through older blog posts?

Like, every time that I hop in the Lonestar or the 389 and drive through AZ, Nevada and southern Cali I get so many flashbacks and memories from late 2019 when I first started playing ATS and early 2020... In my mind it feels like it was not more than a year ago but in reality it was almost 3 years.
There are a few areas:

Crossing the border from Arizona to New Mexico on I-40, because that's when I really started to fall in love with ATS

Seeing the Idaho sign on US-95 with Oregon, because I originally found that on my own and didn't know that Idaho would make a small appearance in the Oregon DLC. Still the coolest surprise I've found in either game, although it shouldn't have been a surprise if I actually knew my geography with respect to US-95 :P

In ETS2, I don't remember if I took the ferry or the chunnel to reach the continent for the first time (my first garage was in London) as that was over 6 years ago now, but I do get a hint of nostalgia every time I cross between the UK and Europe anyways

But I dont think it's been enough time for the nostalgia feeling to be very strong with these games (ETS2 for 6 years, ATS for 3), at least not when compared to the nostalgia I have for games like Morrowind, Ocarina of Time, Half-Life 2, Halo, Rome Total War, Pajama Sam, etc. It's kind of in the same boat as Breath of the Wild, which I would rank as my second favorite game of all time. I remember playing the game very fondly, but I don't think that real, visceral nostalgia will hit until it's been at least 10 years or so. Same with ETS2 and ATS I think. But the nostalgia will hit someday.
