Yeah, the issue with all enclosed trailers in the game is that essentially they are all the same concept just with different external shapes. We have little indication they are loaded; there is no loading procedure other than parking in a green box; and they really don't pull that different despite weight.

Since we have no fluid physics, it's just another van trailer. Cool, but not really.

@xXCARL1992Xx, a tank is a just a cylinder on top of ladder frame chassis with axels! BUT each brand has its own defining design feature! whether it's the shape of the tank itself or the chassis! the length...

SCS Trailers are generic and AFAIK are based on a mix and match of real trailers design, we can get one tank to haul all liquids but the game is about variety!
We can't blame SCS if they introduced the same licensed trailer (Krone Profiliner and Paperliner for example), but we can blame them if they repurposed the same generic trailer.

All trailers have the same concept... The only difference is that on some you see the cargo and on others you don't. When I look at a trailer on the road, they could be loaded or unloaded for all we know... Only the driver will know for sure and that's what we are in game.

They are called inloaders and are very interesting. It's not like a regular semi-trailer, you load and unload the cargo by lowering the suspension.

IRL the driver is involved in the loading/ unloading procedure most of the time and as I've been a driver for the past two years and 3 months, I'll tell you the driving is kinda boring the fun thing about the job is the challenging different cargoes every time and the thought process of how to position and strap your load!

the length is dictated by what you transport and if said trailer can hold 25000l of liquid the length will be the same for every manufacturer, the width of said trailer is also dictated by law as is the height

"BUT each brand has its own defining design feature!"

yes, so where is the problem?, both trailers are made from SCS, i just showed you 2 example images of same general trailer with 2 different uses (Food and Chemical) from the same manufacturer

i dont get this, some people here try to find an excuses again to rant, it is a tank, it hold liquids (or semi liquids or maybe even solids like grease) what shape do you want it to be, a rectangle or better yet a triangle ?

You don't get the point? a Box trailer is a box trailer! why would we care what brand it is? why we want licensed trailers? for the sake of variety! at the end, in-game, you're getting the same payment whether you arrive with Krone curtainsider or a Kogel one or whatever! The same goes for SCS trailers the more we get the better! we're not ranting because it's the same trailer we're ranting because we get the same trailer after two years! if that's the case why not introduce it back then when they introduced the food tanker?

I wonder whether we could use the same cistern for food and chemical jobs? If that's the case there will be more missions available.

There's always that guy that is never happy about anything SCS does, i'm glad they are doing something to get those old trailers from ETS1 out of the traffic, and is not something unrealistic, as Carl pointed out, some trailer manufacturers do use the same trailer shape and size for Food and Chemical stuff, basically complaining about nothing, just saying...
