@PBandJ The little I play ATS I really think those american Ai's are way worse than the euro ones, like you said about the sudden stopping, are the worst of it.

The sudden stopping is a new one, since 1.44, I hope is fixed in 1.45 because yeah, it's awful. There were some problems before, but nothing as annoying as this new one.
I have approximate knowledge of many things

i think 1.43 had them also, it happend a few time, out of nowhere they stop right when a prefab meats a road connection on highways, most noticeable on those smaller rest prefabs

Ok, now it's my turn to post pictures and bash at SCS

A common thing on all ETS2 maps is the uneven placement of rest areas. From when you get the first "yawning" until your time is up you can travel as far as ~100 km at 62 km/h average speed in one and a half hour. In real life there are rarely larger gaps between possible rest areas than that in Europe. In the picture where I am (the arrow) to the closest rest areas (red circles) are a distance in time + - two hours. That's about 130 km one way. Then I'm supposed to pick up a cargo at the green rectangle

No it's not about planning, those gaps are just too big. Simple as that. There is no need to add any fancy neon truck stops, just some small legal resting places. Just add them on b-roads, if that is the only place available. I don't mind taking a short detour to get there. I just don't want to end up in limbo as in the picture ;) Isn't this a great beginner project for some new map developer? All maps needs some or many additions!

By the way, the screenshot is from rebuilt Austria, if you haven't figured it out already :P Another side note: there is a gas station just to the right of the green square, just a gas station tho..

That wouldn't be a problem if we could sleep anywhere. But scs don't want us to sleep in like the middle of an intersection or something😄

Exactly! It would be nice if the sleep system was the same as in older games, where you could sleep wherever you wanted and not only that, but as many hours as you wanted. But I believe they have some reason not to do it like the old games (or not).
Study will not always make you wise, sometimes it will simply make you more superb.
