Steam can only track the time a game is launched (executed on the computer); nothing more. If you let it in the background while browsing internet, or in pause while going to eat (as two examples for sure very usual ), that counts as "played time".

SCS games also their own internal time counter way more precise about the time we had spent driving. Although as it's tied to the profile progress tab, you have to check all your different profiles and sum the amount. But this method has the problem that you could had deleted some old profiles and (more usually) you would had loaded some previous save games sometimes; what erases any record about the time played after the save game point.

So, there's no perfect way to check the time we had been playing. Just better or worse approximations. Let just say we play a lot of time.

I don't know. I don't care.
I just beg you: DON'T TELL MY WIFE what the real total is.
Yes, I deleted profiles regularly.

Now add flightsim and trainsim and I surely must be dead now...

Ps: Why, since a few releases, does it take a minute or so to exit the game?

I haven't had any problems exiting the game. I use ALT+F4 from the game menu to avoid all the extra clicking. After syncing with World of Trucks and autosaving, my game instantly closes.

Does the delay always appear on those steps regarding Aura control? Maybe you want to check to disable it and see what happens. Unless you would be really using it, its activation has caused no more than problems on lots of people.

@Madkine for sure can remember you which one if the option you can try disabling on game config files for that check.

I have bad ears so some sounds can't be heard (too high) and I listen to a radio talk show while driving.
Due to my wide screen the Advisor window is out of my visual focus cone. Too far right.
Thus I need the color feedback for speed warnings etc. So Aura "1" it is.
